Hotel Pura Vista is simply a true gem that’s tucked away in its own little haven yet close enough to everything. Mark went above and beyond in providing local recommendations for things to do or eat. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were very nice, clean, and exactly what you need for a comfortable stay with an incredible view! I’m not a morning person but I never missed a great locally inspired breakfast- included with the stay. The hotel is located in a great spot for the view, close enough to the beach for a quick trip there and back, and tucked away just enough to give you that local feel away from the tourist madness. Golf cart recommended and it is really enjoyable exploring the location or going to Coco beach a few minutes away if you still want to see what they offer for the tourists. Highly recommend the king suite, beach view! 😎🌅

This is the place you’re looking for if you want a great view of the ocean, the beach a short 7 minute stroll away, and the best host and staff we’ve stayed with. This is not a resort experience. This property is the owners’ passion; a peaceful, perfectly maintained paradise. The beach is the best (we visited several!) around; clean and with an awesome restaurant. Easy to find from the airport, once you are close look for signs. No issues with arrival. Our room was clean and comfortable with storage options, safe, mini fridge and smart tv. The owners and staff are exceptional. They are friendly, helpful and quick with a smile. Had breakfast here every day, so delicious with local flavors and incredible view of the ocean and local birds. Cosmo and Princess are incredibly sweet feline ambassadors.

Une belle petite place, tranquille et propre avec une vue qui vaut « 1 million de dollars ». Hôte très sympathique. Déjeuner, au delà de nos attentes. My wife and I travel a lot and consider Kimpton's roughing it. This hotel was hands down the best-run place we have ever been to. The view is world-class, and the pool is incredible. Breakfast was great. The menu was more of a guide than a fixed option. The owner was such a great guy and helped us with everything we needed, including car repair. We will 100 percent be back.

This is a small and economical but REALLY nice place. The view is staggering! pool is maintained daily. Breakfast is wonderful; not your typical hotel 'continental breakfast'. We woke to so many birds calls and even howler monkeys in the distance. Lots of endearing subtitle features: plants, decorations, bedding options, filtered water, lounge covers... Check-in and out was smooth. Staff was OUTSTANDING. Can't miss staying here!

We chose Pura Vista to enjoy the natural scenery and stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. The image of the pool overlooking this truly captures the essence of our stay. We woke to the sound of howling monkeys and enjoyed beautiful watching blue jays flying about. Our room with the private pool was very comfortable and clean and we had good rest, energizing us for the next day. Mark the owner and his staff were very gracious and went above and beyond to be sure we were comfortable, helped us find transportation and local restaurant recommendations. Mark proved to have a wealth of knowledge about the wildlife and sea ecology which I found remarkable. Last but not least, we fell in love with the resident cat, Cosmo, who checked in on us daily to be sure we were having a lovely vacation. Thank you Pura Vista owners and staff, from Cindra & Joe.

This is a small 6-room boutique hotel that is up the hill from Ocotal Beach (Playa Ocotal) and about a 10-minute drive from the main strip on Coco Beach (Playas del Coco). Mark is a great host, and he and his team do an awesome job running the hotel. Mark greeted us when we arrived at ~9pm even though our room key had already been arranged for us in a lock box. Our unit was clean, updated, and had a balcony with a fantastic view of the ocean. Every morning, a complimentary vegetarian breakfast was provided that featured fruit, gallo pinto (rice & beans), and eggs. The pool was the perfect place to take a dip after returning from the beach/ocean, and it overlooks the same wonderful view that's enjoyed from the rooms and breakfast area. Parking was never a challenge during our stay because there were never more than 2-3 cars in the lot. The parking area, and the entire hotel, are in a secluded but safe and gated area. My only quibbles are that it would be nice if the hotel offered more complete amenities (they provide shampoo and conditioner, but not body wash and lotion) and some of the towels had frayed edges. Otherwise, our stay at Pura Vista was first-class!
