"The room felt dirty and gross. We’ve been staying here for 15 years at the Reef tower on oceanfront. Front desk was no help for any complaints. All they can say is….we’re remodeling soon. Shower had no water pressure….felt like a trickle. Very small room that we’ve never had before. Furniture falling apart. My husband had to put sugar packets underneath nightstand to keep drawer closed. Other pieces already had packets to make them operable. They should not be charging $300+ a night for a room that is like Motel 6. So disappointing as we’ve stayed here multiple times a year for 15 years."

"There is a misrepresentation of the ocean view room on the website from what it really is.There is a whole two story house in-front of the room. Most hotels would call this a partial view and would charge less for the room or they would show a recent , true photo for the room view and be more transparent so the host can properly choose and get their money’s worth. This was very annoying! I have attached photos of what is in the website and the pictures I took of my room"

"Let me start with the pros - the hotel is in a great location, literal steps from the most stunning beach and has parking included. Staff were super friendly and were able to accommodate late checkout which was super helpful because we got stuck in traffic heading back to the hotel the morning of checkout. There is coffee, fruit and muffins included for breakfast which is a nice touch, and the hotel also provides beach towels and bottled water. The con is that we barely slept a wink - the walls are paper thin and our room was next to the elevator/door to back of house so we were constantly woken by trolleys and trash banging by the door and other guests coming out of the elevator to go to their room. There is a 1/4” gap around the door so not only does it let in all the noise, there is also a bright light shining into the room all night. All that said, the bed was comfy, but at a minimum bring ear plugs and a sleep mask if you want to get a good night of sleep (and this is coming from a heavy sleeper). The other down side is that part of the reason I booked this hotel is for the rooftop, and it was closed for a private event :("

"We didn’t have a great stay here for the $457 one night price. Old, outdated and notably in the midst of a major renovation. Our room did not have a working TV, phone, or AC. We asked for help from Lu immediately upon check in and had to follow up twice to have any help or resolve. A lot of the property grounds are blocked off, and it wasn’t very convenient to walk around the property in spite of the gorgeous surroundings. For the price, I wouldn’t return."

"We stayed for a night and it was pleasant. Didn’t use the pool or amenities so I can’t opine. The parking was tight but it was an insignificant problem. I left my medicine there but the staff couldn’t find it when I called and emailed them the same day."

"The property was amazing.. problem was the resort was inundated with a large number of babies, infants, toddler s and adolescents. It was like visiting a daycare center.. kids in pool with diapers, dogs running around off leach and kids jumping in spa like it was a pool.., parents were feckless!"
