The location is the best there is! Having the option to go up the stairs to eat and drink as well is great after a long day of travel. You’re so close to the downtown area and walking is easy in this area. The room was incredibly spacious and had every amenity imaginable. All in all a great stay!

I contacted the property to let them know the reservation was not placed/ I didnt make it. Crickets. Come to find out, there is no reception/lobby/ anyone on the property and is non refundable. Expedia forwarded and email and havent heard since. Expedia is also 0/10. No help at all!

Nomads is a unique place with a great surfer/beach vibe. The Cantina upstairs is fun and laid back. The entire place is completely quiet after midnight. We like the lively atmosphere of our stays here.

I needed a room for one person while visiting Orange County for a basketball tournament and I really wanted to be within walking distance of the beach but was on a tight budget and I was delighted to discover the Boat Room at Nomads. The price was unbeatable for a May weekend and I loved my tiny little room. It had absolutely everything I needed and the ownership was so helpful via text with getting checked in and then adding the information about my rental car right before we got to the hotel. I was able to snag the overnight parking in front of the Cantina both nights without much issue and both the lunch and dinner I had there were delicious. The hotel is within walking distance of absolutely everything you could possibly want and the digital check-in was super smooth. As per other reviews, the Cantina is hopping from open to close and they do start prepping in the morning but even though my room was literally under the stairs up to the Cantina I got plenty of sleep using the sound machine that was in the room and earplugs (with which I usually sleep anyway). The Apple TV was great; I was able to access multiple different streaming apps easily. I am absolutely planning on staying here again the next time we are in the OC and I really appreciate the variety of rooms to accommodate any size party.
