「Everything was very clean and secure.」

「We booked 1 room for 3 people and they charged us for 3 rooms and refused to give us a refund for 2 rooms. Bugs came out of the AC when we turned in on. Breakfast was beans, rice and egg with water down coffee. Not a good experience.」

「turtles were amazing and a great experience overall! had no hot water. I understand there is no electricity but why not put a barrel on top of the building and paint it black? Also had no choice when to leave the place but with a 10am boat which was early given the overnight search for turtles, would have been nice to stay longer, the place is nice and peaceful.」

「We had the most amazing lodging at Valverde, Room 1, with the private pool right on the water. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff, especially Rocio, were so attentive and friendly. The grounds were well kept. The availability of the shuttle to and from Tortuguero town worked perfectly for us. We booked a 6am canoe trip on our second day and we saw lots of birds and a cayman. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The meals were mostly good with only one exception, the beef...

「Brilliant hotel in a great beach-front location. The room was very large and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was very good. The staff were all very nice and extremely helpful, particularly Leo who was regularly ensuring that we were happy with everything. Breakfast is made to order to suit your preferences and was very tasty. Nice hammocks to relax in. The staff even took our luggage to the dock for us」

「AC was excellent and much needed in hot, humid climate. Awesome view. Family room was excellent for cost value. Unfortunately, new obnoxious bar next door plays terrible music late into the night. Not the fault of the guesthouse and maybe not an issue mid week. 」
