"Quite a nice hotel - with a couple of issues. No phone in the room - when I tried to call them to get a password for the internet on my mobile it rang out - so a walk down to the front desk that should have been offered at the outset - or on a sign or card in the room. No tissues in the bathroom - the cleaners neglected to refresh the tea bag supply or wash the cups. Little things that add up to an ordinary review. On the upside the shower was great, the bed comfortable and the sauna a delight."

"A superb place to stay, right by the harbour and walking distance from everything we wanted to see and do. S huge private building but very welcoming and full of activities from the moment you walk in, right through to the sauna and roof terrace above. "

"Amazing location, hotel is an old Jail renovated to a modern facility. It was a cool experience to stay here. Place offered breakfast, fika and dinner. Food was delicious. Nothing to complain very satisfied "

"Room was newly refurbished and design choices were not useful: a pillar in front of the TV for example and curtains which were not intuitive to find to close. We were also up sold to a superior king room and actually only had 2 twin beds. We complained ans received a refund."

"Overall a good choice for short-term stay in Helsinki. The staff was super friendly and offer some good services like luggage storage, and I also went to a bingo night event which was really fun! The basics were all fine too, Wi-Fi, beds, TV, etc were all perfectly functional. I didn't love the shared bathrooms, obviously it is not totally in their control how people use them but just some basic things like some kinda lock on the shower, or having paper towels instead of hand dryers would have improved it. Can't say I was unhappy with it though, as far as hostels go it is adequately satisfying."
