Everything was fine and a beautiful old building. I was in a room fownstairs and it smelt a lil musty. Room and bed were clean but some frebreeze could of helped. The price is decent for what you get.

We actually left a day early because the room was so disgusting. The bed sheets were dirty and gave me a rash on my leg. We had a spider in the room the size of my palm and got no sleep because we felt like something was crawling on us. There was no hot water so we took cold showers. There were marks and scrapes all over the wall nothing looked taken care of in there. For the money I’ve never stayed in a hotel that bad. The staff was very nice though.

I had to book this hotel due to air Canada delayed flight and it was quite nice! We had a good time even though our stay wasn’t planned! Really nice location and friendly staff

Een prima hotel, nabij Murrayfield stadion en op wen half uur lopen van het centrum. Ook voldoende opties om met OV in de stad te komen, halte voor de deur. Personeel is uitermate gastvrij. De kamers zijn vrij ruim, maar het is is aan de kleine kant voor twee wat grotere Nederlanders. Ook is de waterstraal uit de douche bescheiden, verder prima.

The twin bed mattress was very soft of the sides and I fell out of the bed in to the floor.

Cumberland Hotel is situated in a good location for walking to everything. Breakfast included which was a bonus. Room was basic and on ground floor so had to keep blinds closed as staff were walking past our room. Also staff closets were located in our hallway which caused abit of noise when they used them especially when we had gone to bed. Bed was honestly uncomfortable. A thicker mattress would have been much better. Also better quality pillows. Cheap pillows give no suppprt. Staff were very approachable and helpful. Parking was an extra £15 pounds each day. Personally believe parking should be included with the price of your stay.

This was a lovely hotel! Very charming! The chair in the room was in the way and not useful. We asked to have the bathroom window raised, as we could not do it ourselves. The staff apparently forgot. They did bring a fan. Otherwise, our stay was very enjoyable

The property is really nice at walking distance from the old town and it very well served by public transport. The only downside was that we were put in the attic room and the stair to access it were very steep. We were not asked if the stairs would have cause problems.

The room we had was in what is essentially the attic. An incredibly narrow staircase made it very difficult to get suitcases safely up to our room. The room was fine, but the shower area was dirty.
