Overall it was very lovely. We only stayed for one night, but would gladly stay longer. The area is nice and easily accessible. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The attached restaurant and bar were very nice as well.

The beds are comfy, parking is easy and free, wifi also free. Its a good place to stay in general and ideal for visiting family. Only issue this time was the shower curtain needed to be changed, had a really bad smell which tainted the whole bathroom ( room 110)

It was a very good stay for us (a family incl. two young children). - The room was tidy and convenient. All necessary bedding, towels were provided. A kettle was provided too. - The hotel-provided free WiFi was good enough to get us going - There are ample charging points for our mobiles. - Bathroom was clean and spacious with hot water. We haven't had an opportunity to have the breakfast there, but heard its good as well. - Ample space available for parking - A huge Sainsbury's superstore was just on the other side of the road All in all, its a very safe, quiet and convenient stay. I'd recommend this to my friends for sure.

Good but could be better
The place itself is nice but the mattresses weren't the best. The two singles in our room were too the point that the springs could be felt. Double was good however. Bathroom was generally clean however round the toilet seat was still dirty round the hinges and the toilet seat came wasn't properly attached.

Clean & comfortable with easy access to Edinburgh
Stayed one night while visiting Edinburgh, very clean & comfortable family room and within driving distance of train station with easy access to Edinburgh. Highly recommend for people wanting to visit Edinburgh but perhaps not stay in Edinburgh

Wonderful, clean and friendly!
My two daughters and I had a great night’s stay at this lovely hotel. We visited Scotland to attend Comicon, snd we chose this hotel as the photos and reviews looked brilliant. My eldest daughter needs to use a wheelchair and the staff there, especially the amazing Bobby, went above and beyond being helpful, attentive and friendly. Due to the torrential rain and floods on the day we had travel back home, and there not being any rooms available for us to stay an extra night, Bobby called round all the hotels on our behalf and finally found one for us. He really was a wonderful human being who deserves the world.

The staff was very friendly but other than that… my room had trash in it, I could feel the springs in my bed & there not one place in the hotel you can buy a bottle of water.

Property is well situated, excellent facilities and friendly staff. Slightly disappointed to be put into the room opposite the front door (with a young child) and which slams day and night as people come through the door. Child woken several times as well as partner and I. Overall a nice place to stay.

Was very good all around including breakfast and I would recommend my only issues were: 1) Was freezing in room with air con on arrival. I THOUGHT I'd adjusted to heat to 28c(max) but was was still cold e.g. maybe 15c. Maybe useful to have instructions on how to change air con so I could confirm if it was my issue or the Air con was not running correctly. 2) One side of bed was relatively close to the wall and I banged my toe on middle bed wheel (very painful) as wheel was sticking out.

A pleasant stay, good evening meal and bar, attentive staff. Only issue was on arrival to our room, which was clean, but cleaning cloths on the floor, no towels, no tea/coffee sachets and open part eaten complementary biscuit pack. Soon rectified by the apologetic housekeeping staff. Overall a good stay

Everything was fine, comfortable and clean room, nothing fancy but all necessary stuff were here. The only bad point was the air vent in the bathroom. It was very noisy and didn't switch off. It wake me up during the night even with the door of the bathroom closed. It should turn off when you switch off the light.

Nice property with easy access to the shopping mall which is located few minutes away. Pub next door serves nice food. My only issue was the sound of the banging doors downstairs, people coming in and out of the hotel. My room was located on the bottom floor and I could hear it very clear. Rooms were clean and spacious. A good stay overall.

Our usual stay
Our trip to Chain Runner is always brilliant that’s why we always stay at the Chain Runner when going to Livingston. The only problem was we were beside the door where people were going upstairs & they would let the door close on it’s on so there was a fare bit of banging. Perhaps they might change the door mechanism to a soft close.

Clean spacious room, very friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable beds. Only negative i could find was quite a lot of litter in the car parks, like an overflowing bag tied to a fence. Otherwise all good.
