"We love historic hotels and understand they often come with issues. We overlook small inconveniences but do look for the staff to be present and courteous. The staff at the Crockett this weekend was hard to find and often less than friendly. "

"Not sure how this hotel has a 8 star reviews. We had a huge cockroach in the room. Our shower was clogged twice and super dirty. Pictures make our room look decent but it is very old and outdated ( as well at the rest of the hotel beside the lobby ). We had a good view but it was ruined by ripped window tint. Overall pretty disappointing, was expecting better from the good reviews and pictures. "

"Hotel is beautiful but the restaurant is expensive with the food bland and limited. The staff were mostly friendly but slow to respond. The valet service was excellent. Our toilet overflowed one morning and the coffee maker in the room only spit out grounds in the coffee. It took several hours and several phone calls to get the toilet looked after and the bathroom floor mopped. The maid was rude and blamed us for putting toilet paper in the toilet instead of in the one small trash can in the suite. We have stayed here before multiple times. This had not happened. I did not appreciate this and her reluctance to clean it up. If this is the case why were we not told about this before and why is there only one small trash receptacle in the suite. Most importantly why is the expensive price charged for this type of facility. The TV cable is very limited and doesn’t always work. The bottles of hand soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner maybe in boutique looking bottles but the quality of product was very poor. Good thing we had brought some along with us. We have loved this hotel and the location but will not select it again after this."

"The room was very clean visually, but the air filter in AC was causing a loud rattle keeping us up the first night. The toilet lever was broken and made it very difficult to flush properly. Make sure and bring an extra contact case. Housekeeping threw away our contact case and we had to go to the store to buy a replacement. "

"Such a fun family vacation. It feels really secluded which helps you disconnect, but it’s still close enough to all the other fun stuff in San Antonio. "

"The room was really nice and spacious. The staff was excellent especially Daniel by the buffet. The buffet had something for everyone a very good variety. Overall we were extremely happy with our stay. Great location."
