Also, when I opened the door to enter the room the stand for the suitcase was right there in the walkway, which was difficult to maneuver with full hands. Overall, the hotel needed a refresh as everything seems old and a bit unloved. Breakfast was also very lackluster. The staff was friendly though!"

"This place looks like crime scene #2. The rooms are clean, but they're also ragged as hell. Holes in the wall, lights that don't work. It's where you go when you don't have any other choices. If that's the case, you could do worse. But block the door with a chair or suitcase, because the chains are busted."

"The serve breakfast on weekends and we were staying over Sunday night and the owner offered bagels and cereal and allowed me to take a cup of milk for coffee the next morning. Always an easy check in and very quiet, friendly, and clean. It's better than any other place in the area!"

"Very well run hotel, conveniently located in the heart of Brattleboro. Free parking in a lot next to the hotel was a nice touch. My only gripe would be that my room (104) had no view as the windows were made of some kind of stained glass that you can't see through and couldn't open. Also they could not be closed all the way and allowed a cold draft to come through on a chilly night. I had to stuff towels in the open gaps to keep the chill out. A little strange I thought, but was manageable."
