The friendly owner and easy nature was a pleasure. Breakfast was perfectly prepared. I really enjoyed staying there.
Comfortable room in a charming old farmhouse in the lovely northwest corner of Connecticut, between Canaan and Norfolk. Gracious host, plentiful breakfast, reasonably priced.

Very old house with lots of clutter. Breakfast was cooked by the owner and good. 1/2 bath for each room and shared full bath with other rooms. I think it was way overpriced.
Our second stay here. Locust Tree is a comfortable , friendly, retreat from the hubbub of travel. Relaxing, friendly owners great breakfast and an amazing porch to relax on.
Unique charm of bed and breakfasts are meeting owners and having thrir warm hospitality

Upon arrival met Heidi, a staff member and gave me a quick orientation of the facility. Shortly after, I went to the balcony and did my office work. Like it a lot !

Would definitely stay again
Great place to stay. Heidi was personable and ready for us when we arrived. Great room. Window air conditioner but we didn’t need it. Kept the windows open at night. Got take out from State Line pizza and ate it on the 2nd floor wrap around porch. Would definitely stay again.
it was an extremely hot night, and they would not accommodate us with an air conditioner. we are older guests and had difficulty breathing, as the bedroom was upstairs and so hot!!!!!
This bed and breakfast was awesome!! I had the best sleep I have had in a long time. The owner was lovely and she made us breakfast herself. No buffet just whatever you wanted. The place was clean and very comfortable. I highly recommend it if you are going to this area.
Heidi was a nice host and made an excellent breakfast. The property was near where I was hiking. Our room was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.
Thin walls, could hear my neighbors open a candy wrapper. Doors sealed poorly. Poor water pressure, drips from shower head. Food is acceptable but spartan.
Be prepared to listen to your neighbor's every snore and flatulent release throughout the day or night.
It is a very old, outdated building with few improvements. Definitely feels like a boarding house out of the 1800s including the shared bath mats with everyone else staying at the property. Hostess was polite but cool.
Tried to book online , they take your money and then there is no one there to check you in! Try to cancel reservation and you can't, try to get your money back you can't!!Complete scam and my lawyer will be contacting them. Good Luck
The bucolic grounds, friendly host, cleanliness, hot b'fast were all positives but piece de resistance, for us, was the second story spacious private porch.
