"Staff were very nice and helpful. Great location and had a room with a view. Shower did not drain at all. Breakfast buffet was good to get the morning started. Overall an average hotel that had parts being renovated. Definitely had the old feeling vibe and very dated."

"If you love whisky or not this is the place to stay. The outside appearance does not do this accommodation justice. A very clean and comfortable room, if small ( we were in room 7). The staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming. The bar staff have excellent whisky knowledge. The bar food was also very good. We would definitely stay again."

"I was made to feel very welcome and was very comfortable here. The bed was large and comfortable, television great. The breakfast unexpected was lovely to have cereal, yogurt. Milk, apple juice, biscuits and tea/coffee/chocolate. I shared a bathroom which was fine as vloseby, I had my own toilet and sink which was great. The house looked in need of repair and there was a damp smell. It is uphill from the village so need to take. £5 taxi from the station up. The walk downhill on a narrow busy road is about 15mins and easy enough. There is a luggage storage near the station search for bounce and book it in if needed. Oban is small and cute."

"It is a small hotel (you could call it a large B&B) right in the Oban harbor. There is a pay and display parking lot right across the street - £7.50 for 24 hours. The ferry terminal is right behind the parking lot but you can't walk across the train track so you have to go around the block. Lots of stores and bars nearby and the disilois a short walk away. It has a small bar open in the afternoon and evening, and a small dining area for continental breakfast (not included - buy it the night before at the bar). For check in you'll find an envelope with the key on the small table by the entrance. For check out, you leave the key in the same place. Staff was very friendly. Now the catch - the building is old in and out and it shows. Though they keep it clean, it won't look like new. If I remember well, the price was reasonable and this is probably why. All room are upstairs (1 or 2 floors up) so if you have problems carrying luggage up a steep winding stair, this may not be for you."
