「This is a hidden gem booked only as a stop over coming back from belfast to go home the next morning and glad i found this place . Staff brilliant they waited 2 hours after check in finished as we ran late, 3 people stayed in group we had a 2 bed apartment whixh had so much space and was really clean, breakfast was amazing the next day and portpatrick is a wonderfully beautiful little village. My only regrets was i didnt get there quicker and couldnt stay longer 」

「We were very happy with the accommodation at the Bruce Hotel, given that there were some mixed reviews. Roma are large and beds comfortable. 」

「Such a charming and beautifully appointed room. Welcoming hosts. Easy parking. Opposite a park where we enjoyed stretching our legs waterside. We also appreciated being the gluten free breakfast options. 」

「The staff were friendly and helpful. They couldn’t do enough for you. Location was good for local towns and ideal for visits to Loch Ken. 」

「Nicole and Malcolm make Craigmount so special. Book themed bedrooms to reflect Wigtown, and a lovely sitting room to read or eatch TV. Our double bedded room with ensuite overlooked the garden. The room was quite compact, and made more so by our largish suitcases. If you have big bags, perhaps book a family room. All the rooms are accessible via stairs. The pre-ordered breakfast was freshly cooked and wonderful. Dinner options in town or nearby were limited, except to drive, especially mid-week....

「We found the B&B to be delightful and peaceful as well as convenient to the ferry. We could not have asked for a more pleasant and cordial host!!!」

「Great stay a short walk from the centre of Moffat. Caroline and Miles are super helpful and nice (Miles kept parking spaces free for us so we could park our motorcycles right outside the front of the hotel.) Plenty of parking on this quiet street. There are just 3 rooms here. They are a good size, warm and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is great quality with lots of choice. Couldn’t fault the quality and service and will definitely return.」

「Just when you think your GPS is taking you in the wrong direction you arrive at this quaint little cottage. Being welcomed by staff , breakfast to order and full of helpful information. Would definitely recommend the beauty and quiet for a chance to relax.」

「We enjoyed our stay very much. We enjoyed the conversations we had with our hosts, Esther and Ian, both of whom when out of their way to welcome us and help us. We especially enjoyed walking from the B&B to Threave Castle and exploring the nature preserve. We were traveling without a car and had no problem getting to the property by bus.」

「This is a lovely place to stay. The Cornmill is right down by the shore of the Cree estuary and Garlieston is a fabulous old village with the Harbour Inn providing good food (advisable to book, though, as our landlady kindly told us). Lovely walks, bike rides and places of historical interest in the vicinity. Katy at the Cornmill was kindness itself - her breakfasts are fantastic and if there's anything else you need, you only needed to ask. Hoping to go back, not least to take advantage of her...

「We were greeted with drinks and cake when we arrived the room was spacious and set up ready for our dog when we arrived both mark and Dawn clearly love dogs so if your thinking of bringing your pooch this is the place to bring them .」
