Is a beautiful property with absolutely 1st class rooms and views. Staff is wonderful and helpful. I would give this 5 stars however due to the time of year most of the amenities were closed like the spa and the beach club which isn’t open till mid May. I would definitely recommend this place during the high season. It is also convenient to the port and airport.

The property was immaculate and the staff was so kind! The food at the restaurant was delicious. My only complaint was that the spa wasn’t included in our stay.

Dream location and exceptional service. This wonderful hotel sits in a cozy, charming marina surrounded by a blend of village atmosphere and natural beauty. A remarkable full service Spa is located by. Few shops are open only seasonally in the area.

Thé service was impeccable. Hands down, an exemplary service oriented staff. Without exception, every staff member was warm, genuine, knowledgeable, and efficient. Can not say enough, must experience it yourself. The facility it’s had a few no heated pool, the pictures show several pools but we only had access to one. And the hot water consistently to too long to become hot. Minor problems that didn’t factor into our decision to return with family and friends in May. Gratis !

Awesome Private Resort - Portopiccolo
Beautiful hotel and resort with offers for free spa treatment. An abundance of great food and shopping everywhere in the little village and in the town above. One of the nicest staff I have ever encountered. The room was smallish but well appointed and superior bathroom facilities. Nice view and little comfortable balcony to watch the sea and people. Highly recommended.

Great location!
We enjoyed our stay at Porto Piccolo. The location is amazing, the staff extremely polite and helpful, our suite incredible. We were upgraded to a better room without the need to ask. The room was super clean and the modern decor just lovely. The village is also great for morning jogging or walks. The Wellness center and SPA are one of the best I ever visited, definitely worth spending a day or go for a treatment and enjoy the inside pools, steam rooms and sauna, in a very peaceful and sophisticated setting. Spectacular water view from the wellness center. The breakfast buffet was filled with yummy food and incredible pastry. Overall a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

A wonderful place in a remote village of Portopiccolo Sistiana in Trieste by the Adriatic Sea.. If you want a place to unwind away from the city then you come to this luxury place. It has the beach, the restaurants , the spa, and luxurious accomodation. The multi-lingual staff, (reception and concierge) are well trained ( service oriented) and very knowlegeable. There are restaurants within the resort, so you do not need to go into the centre of Trieste. It is best if you hire a car to explore Trieste and beyond. Taxi can be expensive, i.e., 50-60 Euros to Trieste one way. The airport transfer is between 90-100 Euros. Hiring a car is advisable. Llubjiana, the beautiful capital of Slovenia is just an hour and half drive away depending on the traffic. Istria and other parts of Croatia can be explored too and of course there's the beautiful city of Venice. Most of all, it has the sun even if the rest of Europe is already very chilly.

With a stretch this might be a 4 star hotel but definitely not 5 start. Interior looks used and is in many places worn / damaged (i.e. broken out piece in the wardrobe door, damaged part of the sliding door cover in the bathroom, outdoor lightning not working, stained upholstery) the „renovation“ has at best been a quick paint over. Services that should be standard in a five star hotel are missing (e.g. turn down service, bar service after 10pm) while others (check in, complaint management are not 5 star). The recommended area in the associated beach club comes with an extra charge but no service at all. The restaurants and shops in the surrounding area have mainly closed down. Overall I wouldn’t go back unless a lot changed. Compliment to the concierge though, he made very good restaurant recommendations and bookings.
