This establishment is amazing! The rooms are cozy and roomy. If you're visiting for the races the grandstand is just a short walk from the hotel. The island is very accommodating in general but the biggest star of the show is Lucy. She helped me get a bicycle delivered to the hotel for me to ride around on, then showed me where to dry my clothes after the island gave me a free shower. She had all the information I could ever need to find things in town, and when I left medication in the refrigerator by mistake on the way to the airport, Lucy found it, called me and promptly booked a taxi to deliver it to me at the airport! 12/10* I would absolutely recommend the Welbeck. After over 100 years of service, they still make you feel like guests in a home.

Our room was lovely, large and airy, with three windows including patio doors onto a little balcony and a view of the sea. There were 3 radiators, so I’m sure it would be cosy in the winter too. We had a king size bed, a sofa and plenty of storage. The bathroom had an excellent shower over the bath. Cleanliness and room servicing is excellent. The location is quite quiet, a side road off the promenade, and it’s convenient for all transport options, with bus stops nearby. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the food choices and quality generally very good. I would be happy to stay at the Welbeck again and to recommend it.

Lovely hotel in quiet area but inly 10 minutes walk to the centre of Douglas. Excellent breakfast, lunches and evening meals also available. Friendly, helpful staff and clean and well-equipped rooms.

staff were friendly, lovely breakfast, our room was on top floor with a sea view which was nice even though other hotels infront off this one, room was spacious big comfy bed double sofa ,tv plus a small fridge which we could keep are drinks cool. would stay here again.

Es ist ein sehr schönes Haus nahe der Uferpromenade und der Bus- und Pferdebahnhaltestelle. Die Lage ist trotzdem ruhig. Das Essen und der Service sind hervorragend. Unser Apartment war sehr groß, gut eingerichtet und sauber.

Early ferry ,meant breakfast was to be missed ,however, the Welbeck staff put our favourite things on a tray for having at 6.30 am.thanks so much.

Room very tired needed up dating. Hotel could do with modernising. Hotel and room clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Food very good, excellent breakfast. On road parking, it’s a bit of a lucky dip, although you will get parking the further up the hill you go.

Great hotel, wonderful staff - very friendly and smiley from reception to room cleaners. Great breakfast served every morning. Room spacious, with new bathrooms. Hotel bar very comfortable and open every day/evening.

This was a throw back to my childhood, a old style bed and breakfast hotel with all the modern comforts. Inside a maze of corridors lead to many rooms. We stayed in 104, a twin bed room which was large and spacious with settee,desk,TV and bath/shower facilities. Breakfast had both continental and cooked available, the hotel also had a bar with pool table and darts board. But best of all was Lucy the owner who was everything you would want a host to be, warm,welcoming always willing to help with giving or getting any information on any trips we wanted to do.We also had a view to the sea which is always a bonus and Ideally located just a 2 minute walk to the promenade with bus stops both sides of the road for easy access to all the island amenities. Couldn't have asked for more

Great Hotel

Spent the Easter weekend at the Welbeck hotel. Staff very friendly and accommodating. We booked in for the Easter lunch which was delicious and great quality food. Would highly recommend.

Excellent "quick stay". Easy to park the car and access the strand. Great food for dinner one night at the bar with friendly wait staff. Would recommend.
