"This hotel was a highlight of our trip and easily our favourite in Sri Lanka. The staff were incredibly friendly, the rooms were gorgeous and comfortable, and the location couldn’t be better- right on the beach and just a short walk to Coconut Tree Hill, Parrot Rock, and plenty of dining options. We were so impressed by the ocean-view rooms that we upgraded on the spot, and it made our stay even more special. We’re already looking forward to our next visit"

"Great location, very close to the main beach, as well as turtle beach, parrot rock and the coconut tree hill. Plenty of good options for food on the main road right outside the hotel. Being close to the main road though makes it noisy during the day, as drivers love to blast the horn. The room was clean but also a bit basic. The bedsheets for example were too small for the double bed. AC worked well."

"I left my heart in Talalla Retreat. Incredible staff who were so welcoming and hard working, the Retreat itself is stunning. I had an upstairs bedroom so was able to fully enjoy the surroundings. "Very friendly and helpful staff! They made the experience extra lovely ☺️The hotel is placed right on the beach and has a gorgeous view. You can rent surfboards close to the hotel and there are some restaurants in walking distance. It is only 30 min to Marissa by tuktuk."

Poor Internet-barely possible to stream…(no tv in the room). You probably get what you pay for. Low price and good location close to the beach. Ok breakfast for 5€. Nice family running the place."
