"We stayed for one night in a suite booked through Expedia and unfortunately the experience did not meet expectations, particularly given the price paid. We chose the suite because it was advertised as having a separate sitting area and complimentary WiFi. However, the room did not appear to have a genuinely separate seating area as described, and we were not provided with any WiFi information on arrival. There were several maintenance and cleanliness issues, including a broken and unstable table, an empty shower gel dispenser, an unpleasant odour coming from the bathroom, and a room telephone that did not work. We also attempted to contact room service at around 7pm and received no answer. The sofa bed was particularly disappointing. Our child, who normally sleeps very well, struggled to sleep on it and we did not feel it was suitable for use as a child's bed. The room was extremely hot on arrival, with the windows and curtains left open on one of the hottest days of the year. Despite putting the fans on immediately, it took a long time for the room to become comfortable. The hotel itself felt tired and dated in several areas and would benefit from refurbishment and improved maintenance. We were also disappointed by the breakfast arrangements. Information provided stated that weekday breakfast, including Mondays, was served from 7:00am. However, as it was a Bank Holiday Monday, breakfast did not start until 8:00am. "Good points: 1. Hotel was clean and tidy 2. Room was very clean 3. Staff were very helpful and friendly 4. Breakfast was great 5. Plenty of parking 6. Great location and very peaceful Bad Points: 1. "I booked a driving experience for my partner’s birthday back in January and we deliberately waited until summer to make a weekend of it. This review is about the hotel rather than the driving experience. A few things future guests should know: you can’t cast your phone to the TV and there are no streaming services such as Netflix, so maybe bring a Fire Stick. There are no robes or slippers provided. The shower is essentially a wet room, so the floor gets very wet and flip-flops are useful. I’d recommend booking the restaurant in advance as it was fully booked when we arrived, and there are very few delivery options nearby. The biggest issue was the noise. Within the first two hours we complained five times. Reception called the room above us and later spoke to them in person, but the noise only stopped briefly before continuing throughout the evening and the following morning. The only quiet period was between 8:30am and 9:30am, which we used to try and sleep, meaning we missed the breakfast included with our stay. We complained again, requested a late checkout before the 2pm driving experience, and although the late checkout fee was waived, we could only stay until midday. We were so sleep deprived that my partner couldn’t fully enjoy the driving experience. Being offered a complementary late breakfast/ lunch whilst waiting for the drive experience would’ve been appreciated. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our stay at all and left hungry, tired, and excited to go home."

"The staff were brilliant, they were friendly and really helpful with our room request. The room was very clean, amd the aircon was a godsend at a time of a May heatwave! The restaurant area was clean, well staffed and the hot food on the dinner menu was very good. Would stay again and would recommend"
