Unique experience of staying next to a small monastery, and value for money, but service was poor.
Bath didn't have got water, food service took an hour, waiters failed to understand what we were saying, stray cats and dogs were moving about inside the hotel.
Overall, I will suggest travellers to look for other options, avoid this place
A Peaceful and Memorable Stay at Norling House
I had a wonderful stay at Norling House in Norbulingka, India. The property is beautifully decorated with traditional Tibetan elements, creating a warm, peaceful, and welcoming atmosphere.
The food and service were excellent. I especially appreciated the chef’s thoughtful gesture of preparing traditional Tibetan bread just for me. It was a lovely personal touch.
Since I visited shortly after the monsoon season, the room was a little humid. When I requested a dehumidifier, the staff were more than happy to accommodate me.
One of the highlights of my stay was taking an evening stroll after dinner, walking toward the temple, making my way around the grounds, and returning to the hotel. There was something almost magical about those walks, as though I had stepped into another world, away from the noise and distractions of everyday life.
I stayed in the Tiger Room and found the entire experience relaxing and memorable. I would highly recommend Norling House to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with a beautiful touch of Tibetan culture.
