「The first night, we killed one large cockroach in the bathroom, and thought that was the only one. Just before bed, a large roach started crawling down the wall from the loft area. We called the front desk to ask for a room change. As we waited for them to answer, 3 more large roaches crawled out from behind the curtains. The person working the front desk said that there were no other rooms, and asked if we would like maintenance to spray pesticides. I declined, as I didn't want to breath it...

Very good location, in walking distance of restaurants, bars, shops, etc. The feel of the town's Bavarian theme is absolutely charming, and The Helendorf certainly captures that very well. Well maintained, plenty of parking, and very comfortable. A great value as well.」

「My husband and I reserved cabin 21 for 2 nights. It was our anniversary and we wanted to get away for a short time. I found Sylvan lodge and fell in love with the property. We arrived late afternoon, the staff there was helpful and pleasant. We opened the door to our cabin and was hit with a strong odor of mold. We really loved the cabin and figured it was 2 nights and we could tolerate the odor. We dropped off our stuff and took off to explore Helen. When we got back, I found several bugs in...

「The stay itself was great. Close to everything we wanted. The staff was helpful and the property was clean. The only thing is the bathroom needed to be remodeled. There were plugged holes in the tub. Otherwise everything was great.」

「Can't really say enough nice about the hotel. The staff was awesome, it was clean. Everything but the beds were perfect, and in a hotel.... I can't complain about the beds really. The pillows were even great. I'm so spoiled by my mattress at home, the bar is too high for a hotel to meet. Breakfast was good with lots of options. Will definitely stay here again if we return to Helen.」

「They had problems with the plumbing above my unit and it overflowed into my bathroom which I tried just to work with people I told him no big deal I cleaned it up with the towels that were there and they kept anybody else from using the unit above me」
