We loved the location of the Helendorf. We could walk around the whole town and be back at the Helendorf within just a few minutes. The room was nice in that it had pretty much everything that you needed. The thing that I wasn't impressed with was the breakfast. I understand that it was mostly grab and go-type items, but I think they should offer yogurt and fresh fruit. The good thing about breakfast was the coffee. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will more than likely stay at this location again.

The room was OK, had tiny kitchen space but no kitchenware. The mattress was sinking. It is in a great location and the room was overlooking the river which was great. The furniture looked old but unique and in a good shape. The hallways looked like needed some work. The pool is outside on the parking lot, very small pool. If they fix up the building a bit and mattresses, it can be a great place. The breakfast area looked cool but the breakfast was pre packaged in small fridge area, was ok but not that good. The people who work there were very polite. The place can be great if fixed up a bit.

The hotel is nicely located near the river, restaurants and shopping. The hotel itself is older but quite charming with the Bavarian style in rooms and the outer walls. The balcony was dirty and had many cobwebs. The curtains in the room were half falling. Our check in female clerk was great. The morning male clerk was rude to everyone no greeting of any kind. The breakfast was refrigerated selections that you microwave. Nothing fresh.

Breakfast is standard prepackaged fare. Nutella packs were loved by the kids. Room was clean with spare blankets. Housekeeping checked in daily.

The room was large, clean and comfortable. The price of the room was great! The only deterrent is, you have to carry your luggage up a large flight of steps. But they tell you this many times, when you book. We packed a back pack for our over night stay. So going up and down steps was no problem.

Helendorf Inn is a great location above all. It doesn’t give a feeling of cleanliness but just enough to be okay for a night or two. The staff is great and immediately took care of our needs. Would recommend for a short trip!

Overall great. Nice view of the river. Room was fine, although smelled a little musty, and the bathroom facilities could have used a deeper clean. Outer staircase was a bit precarious, as both my wife and I almost stumbled down the stairs on separate occasions. Handrail was pretty dirty, so really didn't want to hold onto to it, and steps are somewhat narrower than average. Staff was great, however, very accommodating. Recommend partnership with local gym for hotel guest access, since there is none on site. Would stay again.
