"We stayed here for one night on the way to Acadia, National Park. It was a little over an hour from Bar Harbor, Maine which was really nice. This hotel far exceeded our expectations! Our only regret was arriving late so we couldn't stay longer and enjoy the pools! They have both an indoor and outdoor pool, the rooms are very clean and modern, and breakfast was spectacular! We had choice of a variety of homeade mini quiches, fresh baked cinnamon rolls, blueberry coffee cake , flaky croissant along with hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, etc... We were very impressed. Not to mention the view over the lake while eating breakfast was gorgeous both on the deck or inside. On top of that, the staff was extraordinary and so polite - checking in multiple times that our room and stay was good. Would love to come back here and will recommend this place to everyone! A+++"

"This was one of the finest properties I have ever stayed at. I traveled for a living with my career and I've been to many, many properties and this by far was my favorite. The staff was outstanding. The GM was there every morning. He was professional. He was funny. He was kind and he was present. The rooms were gorgeous. The property was absolutely beautiful. The pool was amazing and our entire stay was phenomenal. Breakfast in the morning was better than going to any restaurant. The food was great and again the staff was outstanding. I'm about to make reservations again for next year… We loved it!!"

"Lovely old inn and tavern. Lots of little extras provided, like distilled water for the coffee maker. The breakfasts were delicious. Housekeeping came daily. Close to town and Sears Island, where you could stroll on the beach or do some hiking. Highly recommended!"

"We had a great stay and enjoyed the breakfasts; we would say probably the only minor inconvenience is that there wasn't a television in the rooms. Other than that the room and bed were great."
