We were there off-season. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, modern, and well-appointed. The bed was sumptuously comfortable. The hallways and lobby were filled with art from local galleries. All told, it was upscale, comfortable, and attractive.
250 Main is a lovely hotel. Dog friendly, beautiful local art displayed, rooftop views, complimentary snacks at breakfast, and early evening. We also appreciated how the hotel supported local businesses, by not having in-house dining or amenities. I would recommend it for couples or families with small children. We did pay a high price for our room, and Expedia advertised the room to fit 2 adults, 3 teens and a dog (2 queens and a pullout). The image showed a suite, and we were given a room with 2 queens, and staff said that was their “family room.” They offered us a cot, but we had to come down and ask for it. All in all we paid $2,000 for 2 nights. The internet and TV was not working. This was not the hotels fault, as the internet carrier was having issues, but with all the restrictions due to the festival and internet, I think the hotel should have offered a discount due to all the inconveniences (parking offsite, noise till 11:30pm, no internet/tv, or a pullout couch). We were also not permitted to leave our dog in the room, and there was an extra charge for our dog, when Expedia indicated that all rates were included in the price.
This property had every detail covered. The heated floors and towels racks, tons of windows and fabulous views, quality staff and great location. I prefer this hotel to the ones in Camden.
The hotel views from the roof deck were beautiful and the hotel was very clean. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, especially considering we were traveling with our dog.
It was a last minute decision, we were passing through Rockland. We had a great stay and would highly recommend 250 Main. We enjoyed our balcony view and our continental breakfast was excellent. Also we were recommended 13 Oak restaurant just down the street. A must try, service to meal was excellent.
Very nice room. Easy check in. Nice restaurant two buildings down. Comfortable room. The only thing I didn’t like was the noise from the traffic. Luckily, there wasn’t much at night.
Beautiful roof top views! Very cozy and comfortable bedding!

If I could create my own hotel it would be this one. It was the perfect place for us. Our room had a spectacular view. It was a spacious corner room with a pleasant balcony overlooking sail boats and yachts in Penobscot Bay.
The lobby was equally impressive, creatively designed allowing for numerous paintings by talented local artists where we enjoyed both tea and a glass of wine during our stay. We will be back.
