"This hotel does not have the best reviews online. Nevertheless, our stay was a pleasant one. We visited for the eclipse, so the property was fully booked. They had extra staff and made an effort by handing out goodie bags including eclipse glasses. The room was clean and the staff was helpful. Hopefully, this is a sign that the hotel is turning a corner. "

"This could not have been a more wonderful stay. The manor house is beautiful as are the grounds. The deck overlooks the lake with a lovely path that leads to a dock. Breakfast on the deck was simply joyful. The rooms are well appointed and very clean and tidy. Breakfast was home cooked with fresh and local ingredients. Bring a bottle of wine with you for an evening taking in the fresh air and lake views. The owners are lovely and have thought of everything their guests will need. This is a must...

"We stood at the Vermonter. It was our first family 2024 Trip and we wanted something different than our usual summer vacation. "What a beautiful place! Close to a lake, with different amenities (even though not all available during low season) and breakfast. Easy parking. We had the room with windows on top. "This is a cheap hotel that is out of date but the room was spotless, no odors in room or bed! Very comfortable beds. Breakfast was basic but great bagels and real orange juice! The bat/shower looked brand new. Orbitz description said hotel was staffed until 11:00 pm but I called them to let them know we would be coming later and was told they are only there until 9:00 pm. They had a secure system for getting our key and it was easy snd flawless. Would def stay here again when needing a cheap clean room for the night. Also liked that Dunkin, Wendy’s and McDonalds are next door. "
