There were plenty to do from swimming in the pool or the beach, which was literally a step off my balcony, to snorkeling, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, and pickleball etc. The resort is on its own lisland however they have boards to get from the island to the village on demand. 「Mariposa is a hidden gem. It’s quiet, spacious, and welcoming. It’s super conveniently located- the Placencia airport is about a 1/2 mile away, and the Village is about a 3 min golf cart drive. It would be a long walk. There are several markets to buy snacks and drinks in the Village, as well as great restaurants. Our room was not a treehouse and was in a sub-par location/ up stairs and behind a wall- it did not overlook the pool, beach, or jungle, but provided a nice escape after days of...

「Our room was nice, simple and clean. The bathroom door wouldn’t close completely, so it kept opening when we tried to closed it. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the concierge. The bar and pool was nice. The beach sand was nice, but the water was a little polluted. There's not much amenities there. The resort didn’t have activities for guest to do.」

「This is a gem of a quiet, accommodation spot with a nice sandy beach, small pool, a good restaurant and nice swimming in the ocean out front. The accommodation huts are perfect, the beds are decent and we felt as if we had our own private resort for some enjoyed R&R. It’s a short drive away from Placencia but well worth it for this experience. Kids loved the pool, paddle boards, hammocks and large beach area. I definitely recommend this place!! 」

「This was our second winter trip to the Turtle Inn. We were delayed by a blizzard and arrived 3 days late, but it was such a welcome relief to get there. Can't say enough about how we enjoy this magical place. Staff was top notch, food was excellent, and the massage! Oh the massage. It made us forget about the 39" of snow back home. We will be back again next year.」
