"Helgoland accomodation is generally very expensive. Though this was a bit cheaper it was definitely not worth it. It is a basement apartment with very little privacy. It gets very hot and there is no AC or fan. The room was extremely small. Barely enough for two people. For checkin you have to take it from the unterland. I came up and then realized so. The message was sent before hand but i missed it. There was no reception at the hotel. The tv was not working. I was told that mini bar is free...

"Das Appartmen ist geräumig und sehr ruhig. Der Blick in den Himmel und auf die bewachsene Felswand ist sehr angenehm. Der Service war sehr gut. Das Warmewasser reicht leider nur für eine 5 Minutendusche und in der Küche fehlt wirklich jegliches Lebensmittel incl. Salz und Zucker. Das Bett ist wunderbar und die schrägen Dachfenster etwas für Regenromantiker aufgrund des prickelnden Regengeräusches, aber auf Helgoland regnet es ja selten:)"

"An amazing hotel in a really great location that’s close to all major landmarks and attractions! Also right next to a bus stop that links to the main train station (which is only 12 mins away). Great staff, friendly service, very clean rooms, and great theme. Would highly recommend!! The neighbourhood is also very nice, safe, and close to a lot of trendy restaurants."

"The hotel is about 17 minutes away from Hamburg central station. It is a good location and a safe one. It is walkable. Bus # 12 runs right in front of the hotel. There is a train within 4 minutes walk, but I can’t remember its number. It has some food places within walking distance. It was, however, difficult to find anything open before 6 pm. Sunday many places are closed. We walked to central station daily because of our plans to see sites required using public transportation. Therefore, we bought food near central station. Plenty of Resturants and stores to buy fruits, etc. The hotel staff are nice and responsive, we want to specifically thank Micaela for taking care of our many questions and responding to our needs for a quiet room, etc. She was very helpful, polite and welcoming. The room is spacious with siting area( desk and lounge chair). One small open space that they considered closet, but it is really not enough. We made it work. The room has air conditioning, refrigerator, coffee & tea maker. They provide water, coffee, tea, cream & sugar. No safe which we paid extra for premier plus room so that we can have all the above plus a safe. The one thing I am hoping for is that they will pull the rug out of the rooms and replace with wood floors. We would definitely stay at this hotel again."
