「The room was lovely and clean, the bed and pillows very comfortable. The bathroom had the best power shower of any hotel I’ve stayed in. The bar meals were really good too and there was just a nice atmosphere to the hotel and it’s in such a good location.」

「Breakfast was ok but items on menu extra had to be paid for. Room was clean but dated. Shower was an electric shower that was nearly unusable. Low pressure and no temperature control. No replacement shower gel was left after room was cleaned. Staff were excellent and restaurant was well presented. Hotel room a low 3 star at best.」

「I've lost count of the number of times I have stayed at The Mariner's. As a result, I have been accommodated in a number of different rooms The rooms are comfortable, light, spacious and very clean. Apart from a good supply of tea & coffee etc, each room has a hair dryer, an additional plug in radiator (although I have never had cause to use one) and, in most rooms, ironing facilities. The staff are excellent, truly excellent being friendly and very helpful. A nice friendly & popular bar where...

「We arrived to no one around and after walking around the property finally saw an envelope with our name on it and our key. Our room smelt moldy and damp. The carpet was dirty and the walls were peeling. The beds were very uncomfortable. It was shocking to see after such a high rating. The yard was unkempt and there was a general air of neglect about the whole place. 」
