"Our family of 5 arrived at the villa at 630pm tired and hoping for a good night rest. Pressed the bell and knocked on the door before someone came down from the villa. Realised they werent aware there is a booking for the night's stay! We had to wait for a good one hour before that poor caretaker sort out the stay wt the owner for our booking and then cleaned the rooms. No service recovery and no apologies by the owner at all. Utterly disappointed! "

"My family and I had a fantastic time staying at the Weir House. Our only regret was that we could only stay one. From the patio of the house, we could hear the rapids of the river and surrounded by verdant forest. Staying here truly was a highlight of our Sri Lanka trip. Mr. Maha, the manager was so very helpful, including assisting us to book a hotel in Kandi when it turned out that the place we originally booked was a huge disappointment. "Atiloua on reception always had the most beautiful smile to greet everyone. Everyone was keen to help. The food and juices offered in the restaurant was very good. Interesting and delicious options on menu. No alcohol was sold on site and we went out for cocktails nearby."

"The property and staff were all amazing. The breakfast and dinner was good. Getting a ride via pick me can take some time as not all drivers want to come up the hill. Make sure you a lot enough time for travel. We were going to be late for our train because a PickMe driver canceled. But the hotel made some calls and arranged for a quick Tuk Tuk ride and we made it right in time. "

"Overall the hotel itself is excellent, the staff, the facilities and the food.....an excellent hotel. The only negative does not relate to the hotel itself maybe more about the city of Kandy, its very nosey and busy, we were hounded by local traders and drivers all day which compared to other parts of the country we would not have the same experienceits "
