「I booked my stay through Expedia. I arrived at the Royal Inn at 9PM and was told that there was a problem with the internet, so they were looking for my booking. Eventually the attendant took my passport and showed me to my room. At about 10PM there was a knock on my door. I was not expecting anyone and had no confidence in the area of town I was in, so I did not immediately answer. 「During our stay, the elevator was completely out of service, and we had to climb the stairs many times. In the breakfast room, one of the younger waiters had a very bad attitude and was extremely slow, except for one staff member who was fine. The air conditioner in the room was extremely loud. If you’re not a heavy sleeper, I really wouldn’t recommend staying here—you’ll feel like you’re sleeping on a train all night.」

「Paint peeling off the ceiling, shower leaks so bad it would start flooding the bathroom floor and broken furniture and charge you 4 star hotel prices when they at MOST a 2 star hotel. Expedia does not tell you that you must also pay for parking. NEVER in my life have I ever been to a hotel that charges such a high rate for a such a low quality room and experience then CHARGE you to park in they parking lot of the hotel you just paid to stay at. We will NOT be returning to this hotel.」

「Rooms were decently cleaned, very strong musty mold smell from in the room which was probably from the ancient a/c unit that only worked on high and was very very loud! Both rooms I booked were the same way so I imagine it wasn’t just a one off.. staff were very very helpful and friendly- no complaints there.. it was supposedly remodeled but you could see all the corners that were cut .. wouldn’t stay here again.. but great staff!」
