"There are 3 non-camping places to stay in Sossusvlei, Desert Camp, Desert Quiver and the Sossusvlei Lodge. They are all owned by the same company. All meals are taken at the Sossusvlei Lodge 2-3 kms down the road. There is no internet at Desert Quiver. There is a nice swimming pool but one needs to drive to it. The rooms are very nice, however. "We stayed after two days in Etosha park, looking for somewhere close to the exit. The location is excellent, just a few km from the gate. Our room was large, with a massive bathroom, and was very clean and functional. It had a small patio, which was nice to have an outdoor area, although not much to look at from there except trees. "I came to Namibia to photograph the country, especially Deadvlei. I traveled 1000 miles in a 4x4 truck and I travel spontaneously without a strict itinerary. I needed a hotel to stay near the entrance to Namibi Naukluft Park and Sossuvlei Lodge was perfect!! It is located a 3-minute drive from the park entrance. It was perfect. While staying at the lodge, I was able to find dark space back behind my room and get incredible photos of the stars and the Milky Way. The lodge is beautiful and luxurious. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast and dinner were top-notched and included such interesting and delicious foods. I didn't realized until I checked out that this lodge is considered one of the best in the world! I whole-heartedly recommend Sossuvlei Lodge!"

"The staff at Moon Mountain are extremely friendly and helpful. The cabin rooms are amazing as they are elevated which gives an amazing view out to the horizon. The food was great. The restaurant has a drinks deck area which is absolutely incredible. Especially at sunset. Would highly recommend."
