"It was a very quick trip, I wish I would have been able to stay longer to be able to enjoy all of the wonderful amenities. I did get to hangout at The Sandbar, the live music was great, the food fabulous and the atmosphere was so much fun. I would definitely stay here again."

The initial access is a little weird in that you cross an old parking lot and drive by a closed restaurant that's run down. But it's a good hotel once you're there. The parking is good. "You can tell this hotel was once a beautiful and lively property, and it’s honestly a little sad to see how much it now seems to be struggling. Unfortunately, our stay was not very comfortable. The room was extremely hot, and the thermostat appeared to be broken. We tried using the fan, but it was so loud that it made it difficult to sleep. The property itself feels very dated and in need of upkeep. There was also a noticeable cigarette smoke smell throughout the hotel, and the toilet in our room would only flush if the handle was held down for nearly a minute. The surrounding area did not feel especially welcoming, and while I understand hotels often serve a wide variety of people, the overall atmosphere in the lobby added to the feeling that the property may be having a hard time maintaining its former standards. I truly hope the owners are able to reinvest in and restore this hotel someday, because you can still see hints of the charm it must have once had."
