"We've booked a room that was supposed to fit 4 person (that was how it was marked on hotels.com). When we arrived we learned that the room is actually a 2 person room and we had to pay for another room (we bargained for a half price for a second one). The "original" room was nice and clean (although not very new) but the second one had some mold in it and was in need for a renovation. Other than that the staff was nice and we had a good sleep for a one night."

"The reserve is a nature lover's oasis. We were there in December, the biome is teeming with life. We spotted duiker, boomslang, baboons, mongoose and lots of colourful birds, butterflies, dragon flies and much more. The hike up the valley is beautiful. Highly recommended if you want a peaceful back to nature retreat. "

"2 weeks prior to our arrival, we sent a message, and have still not had a reply. At arrival, the host did not know we were coming and had no info about our booking. Luckily she did a good job on preparing our house quickly. Kitchen supply was very old, frying pan useless and no toaster. "

"Incredible place. We were looked after very well by all staff. We had a fantastic stay. Food is lovely. It's just a chill out place ... one with nature. A must visit when you are travelling to or/and from Kruger National Park. All being well, we shall return."

Sue and Belinda went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed, from catering to a (sort of) vegetarian, to extra blankets for a nippy night. Whilst the building is an historical one I feel the interior could do with a makeover - the main dining/social/pub area is quite cluttered with a strange mix of decor that does not appear to relate to either South Africa,...
