The property was exceptional. It would be nice for the cleaning staff to provide services daily. The reception and dining staff were wonderful and made sure we are properly fed.
Dunkeld is beautiful and so relaxing. They have a lot of activities and their restaurant's food is absolutely amazing! The room was beautiful and the bed is very comfortable. I would just not recommend the quad bike ride...that was really a waist of money.
The place is beautiful, no doubt, and if you want a quiet get away then this is for you.
I did find the roads and lighting around the estate to be rundown somewhat, and that I feel is not good.
Everything else is truly beautiful.

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
The estate is beautiful. The restaurant serves very good food at good prices. But one of room stank of smoke and had no heating (it was 4C outside in the evening) and staff would not do anything until I very firmly asked for another room.
In the morning running around the estate I got to see zebras, springboks and water bucks. So very happy stay in the end.
Was not nice at all, had to share basically a house with 4 other rooms even tho we booked luxury room. We heard people all hours of the night making noise in the house.
Great food & service. Our room was damaged by a rain storm so we were upgraded to the main farm house. The farm house is huge, but terribly dated, furniture old and tired, one tv slightly bigger than a microwave oven... While the mere size certainly was considered an upgrade, I would rather stay somewhere else.
The setting is very beautiful and well maintained. Stayed in the self-catering cottages which are very well equipped, clean, comfortable and attractive. Lots of extra things to do - fishing, cycling, walking, horse riding, tennis, etc. Short drive to the village that is full of interesting restaurants and shops.
Our cottage was on a trout dam which was lovely. Cottage needs some renovating, and the spa was disappointing. Therapists were great, but spa is small and unimpressive.
Overall it was a relaxing and quiet stay which we enjoyed, lovely fireplace in the cottage. Dinners good in the restaurant.
Why do we have to pay conservation fees? We stay for business? There is nothing in the small right. This makes staying overnight very expensive. Thank you
Heinrich

Disliked: Room comfort
Self Catering unit/s in 'main house' not suitable for couples wishing to have a quite relaxing getaway.
Beautiful surroundings and comfortable units. A few small things needed that weren't in the unit (no matches for candles and hairdryer on request, but none available) but staff are happy to assist when asked.
The 1883 restaurant had excellent food and goodies to buy, we didn't eat at the other restaurant (Sporting horse) because after 10 minutes with no one helping us we left. Overall a great resort for families, with an entertainment centre and lots of activities for kids. We enjoyed the hatchery tour and horseriding thoroughly.
The cabin was refurbished but the bathroom still dated and mildew present. Other than that, very nice. One just get the feeling that you still pay a luxury price for a average cabin. Apart from that - everything fine.
