"Had a wonderful 3 night stay with our small dog. The Fairmont was so accommodating and dog friendly. We didn’t get a chance to enjoy the spa but we did use the pool and gym. Both very nice. Staff was so helpful when we asked about dog-friendly restaurants nearby. They have great recommendations. We will be back. "

"The property is well cared for and has been updated to fit the time period representative of the time period of the older building. There are mini fridges in the rooms but no microwave. We did not investigate but appears that the only way up is to take the stairs. The front desk people were nice and accommodating. A plus was no fee for parking. We had a pleasant stay."

"Great old hotel, in a perfect location for exploring Nelson. They have done a great job of preserving/restoring the period feel while also providing modern amenities. One small complaint is that the fridge in our room (like many small fridges in hotels) was noisy."

"An older historic home, but the room still felt a good mix of modern historic with up to date amenities. It was decorated historically, but definitely kept clean and tidy. No weird smells. It was a very relaxing stay. Highly recommend. Within minutes of coffee shops. A cafe and a bistro kitty corner to the establishment. 3 minute drive to more stores and coffee shops or a small super market. Definitely thinking of returning in the future. "
