The room we had was a nice size, with good bathroom, but the bed was solid, and pillows not comfy at all!
Location was great, so close to all restaurants and bars and shops (although from a personal point my girlfriend and I wouldnt go back to Desenzarno del Garda purely because there wasn't much going on for us). We dont like shopping much so never visited the shops, and unfortunately we found most of the food everywhere disappointing, and more importnantly rude. Every waiter and waitress were so rude, and their english was minimal. Very tough to ask for simple things like 'butter' or 'onions' etc. If it rains, there isnt much to do at all.
On the plus side this hotel was close to the station (took us about 15mins to walk/ short taxi) and from the station we could take trains to venice, to verona, and milan - BUT - yes, yet another but... the train system is terrible !! if an 11:54am train turns up on platform 2 which is meant to go to milan turns up at 11:54 at platform 2... you assume its your train. NO! it takes us the other way... on a fast train (there was rarely ever any electronic boards on the platforms which told you what train it was or where it was going. No one spoke english around us to ask.
This type of thing happened 3 times - We were sent the wrong was 3 times!
