The Haveli is an architecturally significant property with period furnishings, marble, tile, and brass, that gives an old world feel. The rooms are small, but well appointed, and clean. The restaurant serves very good Indian fare, and the staff is especially friendly and helpful. It is quirky and charming and makes you feel like you've gone back in time. But Buyer Beware: the Haveli says it is located in "historic" Old Delhi. It is in the Muslim Ghetto of Old Delhi. The surrounding area is extremely dirty, noisy, and chaotic. There is no street access to the hotel. You are dropped off in front of the largest Mosque in India, and you carry your bags down narrow, filthy alleyways about 600 yards to get to the hotel. The hotel entrance is again, in a narrow, filthy alley where you must jump out of the way of motorbikes and Vespas that scream down the alley, mongrel dogs (some with mange) and fetid pools of water and god knows what else dot your path. And the front desk and restaurant is in a different building (in the same alley) from the chamber building with guest rooms. So to get from your room to the restaurant you must venture out into the alleyway, as described above. Make no mistake, the hotel interior is beautiful and once inside, you feel like you're in a refuge. But outside the hotel is another world. If you're a hipster or adventure traveler, this might be for you. We had a pleasant stay. But if you seek a more traditional hotel stay, this is not it.

The hotel is a beautifully restores haveli and is true my one of a kind. We loved the character, activities, and ambiance that the hotel offered. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was modern. However, the rooms are small, air conditioning is weak, and the interior room windows result in limited privacy. Nonetheless, the experience the hotel offers greatly out way the negatives. I highly recommend staying here for short trips 1-3 days. For longer trips, staying in Old Delhi may be tiring.

A beautifully renovated Haveli that truly gives the feel of old Delhi in times past. All details carefully attended to. Staff is gracious, attentive and very proud of the hotel. We loved Old Delhi- the winding streets, tiny shops and feel of the past. It is pretty chaotic, though, and probably not for everyone. But if you would like a window into the past, it’s for you-

The Hotel, history and location are great... However, to meet with the price/value standard charged they need to pay more attention in cleanness and quality of service. Also, I would suggest that the typical show be a little longer and more elaborate, in reality we expected more.

We had a great time staying here, everything we needed was there. We had great food in the restaurant, helpful staff and they assisted us when we got lost finding the hotel. The only thing was we chose to stay there for the AC, which we were told had been switched off for the heating for the winter. We were in a room with no windows or ventilation which made sleeping harder for my partner. He wasn’t very happy with this after speaking to the night manager. Other than this, it is well worth staying!

Great Renocation, but Awful Neighborhood
The renovation of an old mansion was extremely well done, and the service and restaurant are very nice. But it’s in the middle of a poor, constantly noisy, and pretty dirty old market — walk 100 meters down an alleyway to get to-from the hotel. Not an easy neighborhood.

A quiet oasis in Delhi chaos
This is an amazing hotel in Old Delhi. I stayed here with my daughter as a treat following our tour of Rajasthan and it didn’t disappoint. The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed kite flying on the roof and the dance display. You may be lucky enough to see locals flying pigeons (note this isn’t an activity that takes place at the hotel - the website is a little misleading ). I have no hesitation recommending.

Be transported to another world
Simply amazing restoration to the lavish standards of a time past. Right in the centre of Old Delhi you are transported from the bustling alleyway in another world with friendly and always available staff. The restaurant is brilliant with live music and great food.

Haveli Dharampura is a little oasis in the busy streets of Old Delhi. The staff members were very welcoming and helpful. The restaurant food was exquisite (we had the set menu one night and every dish was superb) and the entertainment was spectacular. While there is a short walk (a couple of hundred metres) from the end of the street up a laneway to the haveli, staff met us and helped carry our bags. We'll definitely come again!

Staying at Haveli Dharampura was one of the best parts of our visit to Delhi. The property itself is beyond beautiful - the rooms are spacious, gorgeous and clean, the entire Haveli is fantastically maintained to give a sense of the past without losing any modern convenience. The staff was super friendly, at all times (we checked in at 4:30 AM and still were greeted with smiles and grace!) The food was fantastic. The crowning glory was the Kathak performance and the rooftop. In short, do NOT MISS staying at Haveli Dharampura.

Haveli Dharampura is beautiful -- it's like staying in a history museum. And the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I loved spending the evening on the rooftop flying kites with the other guests and then going down for dinner and watching the dancers perform while we all ate. My only advice (as a solo female traveler) is to ensure you arrive before dark and to make arrangements for your arrival with the hotel. In general, Old Delhi is not suitable for females to walk alone at night. I took an Uber from the airport and because of the location, cars cannot pull up directly in front of the hotel. I had to walk several hundred meters down a back alley with my belongings to reach the hotel. More than one man stopped me to say it wasn't safe for me to be alone in that time. If I stayed again, I would arrange transportation with the hotel to ensure someone met me at the car.

While the property is beautiful, the staff was naïve and saccharine to the point of being overbearing. If you want flawless service from staff who understand the complexities of international travel stay elsewhere. Location is fantastic, in the laneways of Chandni Chowk, wander directly into the various markets. Walking distance to Jama Masjid, The Red Fort and Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib. The building itself is absolutely stunning and rich in history. Rooms are large, comfortable and clean, but be sure you get the room type you booked. The staff are definitely what truely makes this place, all so professional, knowledgeable and engaging. Specifically Deepry on hotel side and Raja in the restaurant. Also another young man from restaurant who taught us to fly kites…was so much fun.

Amazing historic property in the madness of downtown old Delhi. Impossible to find without help if you are a foreigner, or to get a ride directly to the front door, but the uniqueness of the place and the extraordinary facilities and service make the stay an incredible experience.

Amazing hotel! Only 1 negative: location is in the heart of Old Delhi; so the staff has to meet you up the street at the police station to help you with your bags. Then you have to walk to the hotel through a back ally. However… totally worth it!! We loved the architecture. We got all dressed up and spent more than an hour taking family pictures around the building. The rooms were romantic and spotless. Probably the best beds we experienced in our month across India. Best bed linings ever. Staff went above and beyond to help make our stay comfortable. The rain poured so we missed the kite flying and pigeons. Sad. Live dancing was fun. Way too loud! But unique 5 minute walk from tons of restaurant. Or do the food tour!! As an international tourist I don’t eat anything cold from the street (juice, anything made with ice, most sweets, even dips like chutney, etc) but I would trust the hot food: tandoori, kabobs, fresh naan, parathas, etc. yum. Great hotel in Old Delhi.

Worth a Repeat Stay
Your transport doesn’t go to the Hotel and stops 500 mts away. That’s the only drawback. It’s a quaint boutique hotel in the heart of Chandni Chowk well resorted by the management with great hygiene food. Terrace is a must visit as you can see the Jama Masjid, Gudwara and the Red Fort

The property is a hidden gem. It retains the authenticity of a haveli. I felt like I went back in time. Amazing views of old Delhi from the roof top. Straight out of Delhi 6 movie. The have cultural programs and other activities which adds to your experience. The staff was also extremely friendly and hospitable. I made this booking last minute without knowing anything about the place. But this because the most exciting part of my stay at Delhi

Amazing Old Delhi
Remarkable location right in the midst of the wonderful chaos that is Old Delhi! You can’t even reach it by car, which only adds to its charm. The only tough part is that the hotel is pretty much the only dining option, other than street food, in the area, so you don’t really have a choice. That said, the food is amazing and very reasonable, but the alcohol is extremely expensive. Regardless, an amazing experience in a hotel you will never forget!

An oasis in the middle of Old Delhi
This is a wonderful hotel with an interesting history. We would never have stumbled upon it by chance however as it is deeply buried within the maze of alleyways within Shahjahanabad. Make sure you have a good local driver to take you the hotel. They will have to drop you a few minutes walk away and phone the hotel for you for the porter to come and collect your luggage. It certainly is an experience! Being in the centre of the old city you can easily walk around the maze of shopping alleys, visiting the spice markets, temples including JAMA Masjid and Red Fort.

Cultural oasis in Old Delhi
This hotel is one of “the” places to stay if you are looking for a traditional, old world experience. The surrounding neighborhood may come as a shock to those unaccustomed—it is in the heart of Old Delhi, near Red Fort. A porter walks your bags from the taxi drop off via a narrow alley to the hotel entrance, (3-4 min). The hotel itself is beautifully restored, with historic architecture, ornate detailing, and an airy, well lit restaurant and rooftop. They even have regularly scheduled performances, although we did not experience these. For culturally curious folk, it is a wonderful oasis in the heart of Old Delhi. The hotel itself is great, though those skittish about Old Delhi conditions/culture may feel more comfortable in New Delhi.

The reason i have said the stay was disappointing is because they need to decide whether they are a 5* hotel or popular restaurant. We stayed for 3 nights at the end of a 2 week holiday but on 2 of those nights there were large groups in the restaurant that did not leave until nearly midnight. Because of the layout of the Haveli the noise was dreadful and it was impossible to sleep. So, despite the elegance of the place and great service we ended up regretting spending so much to stay. We spurlged for the suite and it’s right over the kitchen. It sounds like your in the kitchen. So your up till 11:30 and awake at 6:30 whether you like it or not. Pillow like old cotton balls. WiFi barely works. Was really looking forward to staying here now I just want to leave.
