I asked for quiet and to be left alone and that is exactly what i got. My wishes were respected.
The room i stayed in had a beautiful window, full of light to let me do some painting and drawing. I only ate out on e because the kitchen area was able to let me self cater to a small extent.
It is a short walk to the mineral springs for a drink and for the spa also. The location has bottles you can fill up for the lovely mineral water.
Did i mention the warm bed, the quiet atmosphere and the beautiful garden?
Property in and out is old, very tired and very outdated including all furnishings. The spare single room is the most scariest room I have ever seen, it’s setting is in an old grotto/dungeon .
As soon as you walk in, the musky smell hits you, we had to purchase room freshener atomiser.
Location is good, quiet, heating good and also the Moolton hedge.
Definitely overpriced for this standard accommodation..
👀 elsewhere.
Loverly old world charm. Lots of intresting stuff in the house. Great verandas to chill out. Good big window that opens all the way so you feel like you are in the treetops.
All a bit querky, but quite loverly.
Loved the atmosphere and homeliness.. Would book again in a heartbeat!

I really appreciated the quaint room and home decor; the garden spaces; access to lounge, kitchenette, sunroom, verandah and fully decked cosy library; the actual location; the relaxed, calm energy.
Yes, small shared bathrooms, but was not an issue for access for my stay.
THE ONLY THING WE COULD SAY WE LIKED IS THE NAME CUT OUT IN THE HEDGE, THE MUSTY OLD ROOM WAS TIDY, BUT NOT VERY CLEAN, THE SHEETS WERE BRILLIANT WHITE, BUT THE TOP
WAS SHABBY I UNDERSTAND IT'S STILL NOT THAT WARM AND THE ELECTRIC BLANKET WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE MATTRESS EXTREMELY HARD FOR US THE THE 2ND PILLOW SLIP ON THE BED WAS STAINED BY SWEAT, BATHROOM SMELT OF URINE, THERE WERE CLEAN TOWELS, SPRAYS FOR THE ODOUR AND A LIQUID SOAP ON THE BASIN, THE BASIN DRAINED SLOW, IT MIGHT STILL SUIT OTHER PEOPLE WHO DON'T CARE ABOUT HYGIENE ONLY THE MONEY, SADLY WE FOUND OUT TOO LATE THAT THOSE 2 NIGHTS WE COULD'VE SPENT IN A BEAUTIFUL ROOM, GREAT BREAKFAST INCLUDED FOR ONLY $120 EXTRA P/N WHICH WE WOULD'VE GLADLY PAID FOR, BUT FROM YOUR RATINGS IT LOOKED LIKE A 4 STAR HOTEL, SO WE FELL FOR IT, NEXT TIME WE'LL KNOW BETTER, WE BARELY SLEPT ALTHOUGH WE HAD THE WINDOW OPEN WHILE THERE CONSTANTLY, WOULD'NT TURN ON THE FAN AS THE TOP WAS ALL DUSTY, SORRY, BUT VERY - VERY DISAPPOINTING, BUT WE LEARNT NOW WE KNOW BETTER, FOR OUR NEXT TRIP.
A lovely spot in Hepburn Springs. If you are looking for a 5 star accommodation, this is not the one for you. However, it has the charm factor or a country B&B.

The architecture, decor and garden were all delightful. Felt like I was in a period film.
The hotel is very well located, the gardens are beautiful. The owner was very attentive. The place had lots of breakout areas. I would definitely go again!

Old world
The stay was comfortable and the guest house was very quirky enjoyable for a two night getaway!
For our overnight stay it was adequate, would not recommend it for a longer stay. However the heating was completely inadequate. Clean and a nice bathroom. Garden pleasant.
Eddie greeted us warmly and we had a very pleasant stay.

Interesting old (1920's) guest house.
All ok, however rooms a bit worn and lived in. Hosts had friends who left late and were occupying the communal living areas (lounge room and library/sitting room), so we could not really use them.
I stayed one night at Mooltan; my room was just beautiful - lovely hand-quilted bedspreads, etc - and the proprietor made me feel warmly welcome. The guesthouse is within walking distance of restaurants, bushwalks, the springs, etc. There's a sweet cat who padded across the verandah outside my room and let me have a pat. Hepburn Springs is a gorgeous part of the world.
Ordered at the last minute and the owner was accommodating and hospitable despite our lateish arrival.

Dated in Daylesford (Hepburn Springs)
Great location but very dated guest house. Place was clean but run down. The price is high considering the guest house age and condition. We stayed in the studio room and the walls are paper thin.
