「Good place to stay for the money」

「The hosts were great. The coffee was waiting for me at 6 am. The breakfast was delicious! I called it biscuits and gravy but it was more like french tost lol we had some great laughs. I will plan another trip here in the future. Downtown Galena is really neat. We checked out some hiking trails and had a blast. 」

「As I had found that this property was once owned by my 3X great granduncles I was fascinated by the history and walked in their footsteps. As I descended the original, narrow stairs with the low hand rails I imagined the original women in their high button shoes and hoop skirts more gracefully than me maneuvering them daily. It was a pleasant step back in time with it's antique atmosphere and original structure. It was my 48th wedding anniversary and staying at a family home made it even more...

「Nice place to stay. We didn't like that you rent out the pool so it was full of kids and families that were not staying at the hotel. We tried using the pool and hot tub but it was so loud with kids we left. One of the reason we stayed was so we could use the pool and hot tub. Kitchen lady was lovely!! Good breakfast.」
