However we decided to upgrade to a larger state room and the staff were really helpful in enabling us to do that. You can really immerse yourself in the castle experience.The room was surprisingly warm as obviously no double glazing. Breakfast was excellent. If you are looking for a true castle experience you won't be disappointed. "

"Staff excellent. Setting beautiful. We stayed in the old house which had real charm, but was a little tired. Beyond the historic house is a conference centre, with spa. We ate an evening meal in the 1744 restaurant which was well priced and very tasty. "
