It's an old dated hotel; in some ways it's characterful, like the building and bar - that's good; in some the decor is tired. It's well priced for what it is as we got a great deal.

Pleased with the hotel and location. Very quiet with plenty of parking. Staff pleasant and helpful. Room was spacious. Only downside was the beds in our room were too hard and we had a poor nights sleep.

The best Hotel to stay!

Hotel was clean, staff very friendly and helpful, Mandy the receptionist was full of local knowledge and even got the little one an Easter egg!! Her dog Sydney was lovely too!. The food was excellent value for Money and great quality too, we will definitely be returning again next year for Easter break, this is a hidden Gem, Customer service in all areas was amazing.

Room needed some TLC - large stains on the ceiling, stains on outside of the bath, old cigarette left in drawer where hairdryer was . Basic amenities- no hot choc or biscuits considering it’s 4 star. No info in room at all about what the hotel offers , etc much better in a premier inn for cheaper . Customer service not great on reception either . Not friendly or welcoming . Felt like I was doing them a service! Threat of being charged if I smoked on premises (I’m a non smoker) there are just nicer ways to speak to guests . Won’t stay here again

Enjoyable stay

Arrived late and left relatively early so didn't get to see a lot of the hotel, service though was excellent, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful and hotel was clean. Comfortable bed and a good night's sleep.
