The Elgin, Darjeeling

Darjeeling

10/10 Excellent

Great hotel with lots of old school charm. The first day we had a beautiful room but not much of a view. As soon as we asked the manager, he promised to move us to a room with a view the next day (after some rooms became available). Yashshree Jai Hotel & Banquet

Darjeeling

8/10 Good

I was surprised how lovely the interior of the hotel was as I walked through it. The room was nice and the front desk staff were helpful, as noted in other reviews. The breakfast was a basic continental one: toast, 2 eggs, fruit, juice and coffee or tea. A lobby sign states the AM & PM hours when hot water is available in your room. If you miss those hours, you'll need to request a bucket of hot water to be sent up. The hotel is freezing, including the room. You'll need to request...
