In all, the hotel staff were very helpful, courteous and friendly in all the sectors. The room are great, comfortable and impeccably clean, a complete value for money. The hotel restaurant offers a variety of delicious meals, all very well prepared and taste. It is the ideal hotel for a very relaxing stay and being by the beach front, it adds to the comfort stay for both work and vacation related trips

We had a lovely stay at the Mediteraneo. The staff is really nice, the rooms are clean and the hotel is right next to the beach with amazing views and ambience. The restaurant is relatively pricey but still a good value for foreign tourists.

Great vibe at the pool and restaurant with a lovely artist singing. Had an amazing massage and loved the relaxation. The beach, unfortunately, is filled with trash and tons of jellyfish...But I still enjoyed a long walk. I would definitely recommend staying for a few days of R&R.

Hidden Gem

This small hotel is off the beaten path. The rooms are basic but clean and have everything that we needed. We arrived late at night and no housekeeping came the next day. Pool and beach were wonderful as was the breakfast that we had. Great coffee.

Really nice setup directly by a beach that so far is not very touristic. Mostly locals by the beach as well as fishermen. The hotel is kind of lodge style. People are friendly. Kitchen is good, missing some African specials. I would come back for sure.

The staff are excellent, with very good English skills. The individual room veranda seating is very nice, and public views of the ocean are excellent. Mosquitoes are a major problem, so have some repellant. Prices at the restaurant are steeper than at similar hotels around Dar, but the food is excellent.

Inotially going to the property, the scenery was same as main road, once we got on the property and is beautiful. If you did not know where you were, you would have thought you were at a world class 4-star hotel. Staff is great and helped us with our wedding reception. Awesome by the Indian Ocean.

My Go-To Hotel in Dar Es Salaam

The location and ambience of the hotel are superb. I greatly enjoy listening to and watching the waves crash against the rocks under the restaurant in the morning and evening. The rooms are comfortable and the food is good. The service this time was not as on point as before (staff seem very young and distracted), but was still average in their response to my few needs. I'll be back.

We had a wonderful short stay at this property! We wish we could have stayes longer. The property was stunning! So beautiful and peaceful! The staff were so friendly. The rooms were beautiful and we loved the porch outside each room! The pool was wonderful. We had lunch by the pool, which was delicious! Dinner was delicious and so beautifully decorated with phenomenal live music. Breakfast was also lovely before we headed to the airport. We would definitely recommended this hotel and stay here again! We wish we could havw stayed longer. Thank you to all of the staff!.

What I needed to recover from stressful travels

This was a great change of pace in my long journey on the continent. Also I had stayed at a local resort for a few days and needed to get a new booking and Mediterraneo was perfect. It was quiet, and boutique, and great views. I wish I had more time to just sit around the place, but I had to work. Check in was easy, and even when there were glitches with my reservation people were so helpful and kind. The food was wonderful. The ambiance was what made it just what I needed to recover from high stress travel. If I return to Dakar, I will return here for sure. Solo travel or with friends.

Garden Oasis on the Beach

Upon arrival you're greeted with lush greenery that is immediately calming. I arrived early and was able to keep my luggage on the property until check-in. Overall, the grounds are immaculately kept and the service is nice. The room was spacious and clean. I liked that there is a fan and AC. I did not use the patio but it was covered with comfy pillows if you wanted to lay out and read or nap during your stay. The only con is that the bathroom showerhead was filled with grime that I cleaned off and informed the front desk about. You may have to flush the toilet twice. I'd stay again and try the restaurant.

In a way the hotel is ok, beautiful garden, beautiful view, cozy restaurant and the staff was kind and friendly, so far so good but the room could be cleaner, food could be better, music from the neighbor ( hotel/cafe/whatever, not sure what it was ) every and hole evening/night ???? ok for me, i have teenage children at home so i am use to noisy behavior, but i can easily imagine that some people will find it very irritating when they finally take some vacation but again, ok for me i could live with that which means i have no problem sleeping. But close the swimming pool for four days without announcing it ! my god there was an angry couple and i still feel so sad for the young lady at the reception who did her best to explain why it was necessary, there should be a manager or somebody in that category taken care of episode like that, very very unprofessional, poor girl it just wasn`t fair at all. Again ok hotel but not totally impressed
