This place is garbage and a scam.the “owner” is a thief when I pulled up to check in he was outside with another guy in the shadows smoking. They’ll surprise you with $100 upon checkin and when I asked if he was going to check me in outside or…..? He gets an attitude and says “I don’t need your funky lil $100” and proceed to flash a wad of cash. I say “ umm.. okay I’m just trying to check in”. He takes my id and then proceeds to tell me the $100 has to be in cash and the rooms don’t look nothing like the pictures on the internet. He tells me to talk with Expedia as he turns me away…. He never answered the phone for them and refused to refund my money for the days that I didn’t stay there.

This was the WORST booking in America! The place was run down. The lobby attendant didn't care at all about customer service. The lobby was locked so that the attendant can play video games and eat his lunch. I think he lives there. I had to wait under the hot 94 degrees sun until he got to a stopping point, and made me go to the outside window, instead of inside the cold lobby. It says you must pay a deposit, but it did not say the deposit is 100$ in cash only. It took 20 minutes to find an ATM! I requested a room where the parking lot was shaded, because I wanted to clean out my car. When I returned, the attendant gave me a disclaimer, saying that the photos we're taken years ago and it doesn't look like that, and the pool has grass growing in it. If I take the room, there's no refunds.and no complaining. I asked if it was at least clean. He said that it should be, but people still complain, but it will be too late to refund. (I think that's why they take cash!) I asked about the shade. He told me that the Owner said to tell me to leave if I wanted to pick my room. I tried to tell the owner that I just asked for shade, and not to look inside first. Before I got to say anything. He pointed for me to go. I asked the attendant for wifi so I could cancel. He said they wouldn't charge. I tried to contact the website, but it said the booking # was not valid. They charged me! This is a front or scam. I didn't see anyone staying there. DO NOT BOOK THIS! You'll regret this!

Okay: the picture for thia facility must have been taken in the '80s, because it is a flea-bag, now, hence the low $$ per room. No hot water. Shower head barely functioned, anyways. KEYS! They still use keys! Sipposed to have WIFI, nope. Supposed to have online movie channel(s), nope, because no internet access. Refrigerator leaked all over the place. 32" tele with 'Live TV,' only, but system couldn't make preview info work. $100 cash deposit. Maybe 4(?) rooms.occupied but charged me $20 for early check-in?? Had to clear it with the owner? Oh, cash, only, BTW. Had to make a second trip across a 4-lane to an ATM. Carpet has 'stuff' growing in it. Bathrub had cigarette burns along the edge. No non-skid anything in the tub. Paid like $45 a night, overpaid $30. There are much nicer accommodations just an 1/8th of a mile away for just $10-15 more. Dude doing xheck-in was cool however. So there's that.

Never stay at this hotel. It is the absolute worst. Sa soon as you arrive, the management demands a $100 cash deposit and a photocopy of your ID. Then they renegotiate the price of your stay, double the amount of the original price and threaten a $40 cancelation fee if you don't book the new price. And the amenities are absolute horrible. Do yourself a favor and never even look at this hotel as an option.

Never even stepped foot into a room. We had booked a month long stay and was trying to check in a day early, and the front desk said to contact the booking company. I added one day (as we arrived at about 3am), even called Hotels.com to cancel the single day booking, and the hotel charged us a 50% no show fee.

Awful! Physical key would not open door. Manager was rude when asked to open it. He finally opened it. Room was filthy. I requested my cash deposit back to go somewhere else. Manager refused, saying I was being disruptive. I called the police. They said they could not do anything and that they get calls about this all the time. He is a scammer. Stay away! Go to Rodeway instead. Room was great & staff was helpful.

This property is a total fake. The rooms are run down and need to be condemned. Locks on door don’t work correctly. The rooms in the pictures on line are not what your getting . Property is run down and needs lots of work . Arrived late and was shown 2 rooms the first the handle came off when I opened the door. The second the lock didn’t work all the time . Charged a fee for using a credit card for payment. Needed to give 100.00 cash deposit on check in for security. Will never book again and only stayed because I was late checking in had to pay even if I didn’t stay. I’ve seen some bad hotels in my travels around the country and world over the years but this was the worst.

Worst hotel in a long time
Room was nasty there was a rotting dead squirl outside my room that stunk up half the parking lot. Then there was the room. Get ready to time travel back to the 70s. After letting the AC run for about 3 hours on full blast it cooled off to a brisk 90°. After informing the front desk they said there were no other rooms and no refunds. I'd stay away FAR AWAY!

We very much did not enjoy our stay, we actually left the hotel to go to another hotel after 30 minutes! When we arrived the room smelt like smoke even though we requested non smoking (the smell gives me a huge headache), there were tiles missing from the bathroom ceiling, there were no shower towels, the sheets had sweat stains and hair on them, and there were cigarette burns on the furniture. We asked the front desk for towels and new sheets (we offered to change them ourselves) and the man at the front desk said he didn’t believe us, said we were lying, and refused to give us towels or new sheets! I will never stay at an OYO again because of this experience. We lost $150 because of this horribly kept place, I do not want anyone else to have to experience the same thing we did. Do not go there!

The door entrance door on our room was broken. The hub came out when we put the key in. The manager then came and told us how to stop the hub from coming out when we unlock the door. However, once we departed the door was actually broken to where we could not lock it. We got a new room but we decided to stay with relatives after being told there were reports of bed bugs in the hotel. The worst problem we had was the manager telling us to pay in cash and entered that we were no call no show online which caused us problems with the online booking! This was a complete nightmare!! We didnt stay overnight but still allowed them to keep our money. I would NEVER BOOK WITH OYO MOTEL!!! Horrible Experience

After staying in hotels and motels all over the world, this has to be the poorest MOtel experience I have ever had. Every hotel in Dothan was booked, so this was the only vacancy. Now I know why. The photos are wrong. The pillows were so dirty, we had to go buy our own. The air barely worked. The shower didnt work and they "couldnt fix". The surprise $50 deposit (for damage of WHAT I dont know) had to be in cash. Once they came and "checked" the room, we were allowed to check out.

AC WAS NOT WORKING. GOT ANOTHER ROOM AND THE REFRIGERATOR WAS NOT WORKING, THEY SWITCH IT TWICE AND 5 HOURS LATER NOTHING. ATTENDANT TOLD ME TO LEAVE AND GET A REFUND, THEY CHARGED ME FOR ONE DAY AND I WAS ONLY THERE FOR COUPLE HOURS. I HAVE A VIDEO OF THE ROOM BAD CONDITIONS. ALSO THE MANAGER WAS VERY RUDE/SARCASTIC..

I reserved a room at $56 When I got there the clerk said my reservation was cancelled which I didn’t He proceeded to charge me $83 instead. I woke up with back pain because the mattress was so hard

NOT RECOMMENDED.
The beds and rooms do NOT look anything like in the pictures. I booked a room for someone for 1 night and the loveseat in the room had indentions like it was 20 years old. Room smelled weird and like cigarettes. The mini fridge was unplugged and left open and the a/c barely worked. The man working the front desk was only concerned with no “extra heads” staying in the room or it was going to be $10 extra. Even though only 1 person stayed in the room overnight I was stilled charged the extra $10 because it wasn’t me when the person went to check out of the room. It does not mention anything about the security deposit or the “extra heads” fees during booking, only on a paper stuck to the check in window. Also, I had no idea the security deposit was $50 cash only until I was trying to check in with no cash. Had to drive down the highway to an ATM. I didn’t receive a single welcome, thank you, enjoy your night or any directions to the room at all; only the mention of no extra heads or it’s $10 per person. I highly, highly recommend literally any other hotel around the area. I was charged around $70 for this stay. Never again.

You get what you pay for (stay away)
I showed up and checked it the check in process was good and friendly. Got to the room the room smelled like a musty mold place. The bed cover was dirty and the whole place was just unacceptable. Carpet was red and the place need to be upgraded. The pictures posted was not the room. You pay what you get for. I was there a hour and went to another hotel. They charged me a full night and I was there a hour. My card was not credited. for the other night. Upgrade the property. clean the bathrooms and stop the false advertising.

Cheapest in the city so I guess you get what you pay for. My room did not look comforting at all. To be fair, they’re renovating some of the rooms but my room clearly wasn’t one of them. They had exceptionally good customer service.

Friendly staff. It was recently remodeled. I’m a germaphobe, so I was pleased with the cleanliness! Staff was super friendly! Definitely will be back!

Scammed I think yes
The only experience I had was being scammed because they claimed they didn't receive a reservation for me. I never stayed here they still haven't refunded the money if it was a glitch so they suck as far as customer service goes in every way
