First, the staff is doing an amazing job. Breakfast is good and refilled quickly. Note that breakfast is in another hotel near by. The bed was comfortable, air conditioning worked well and we had hot water everyday. But there were plenty of flies in the room alive and dead ones on the wall and in the elevator. In the 4 days we were there, none seemed to be removed from the wall but more and more dead flies appeared on the walls (killed but never removed). Mold in the shower and water bursted out of toilet a few times a day. I would rate this property a 3/5.

Staff were courteous and friendly. Amenities were satisfactory and the room was clean.

We absolutely loved out stay at the Splendid Premium. The staff was exceptionally caring, friendly helpful - everybody at the Splendid went above and beyond. I cannot stress that enough, they made us feel very welcome. Really everybody - across front desk, bell desk, breakfast, rooftop bar, spa, and so on. The location is excellent - it's right in the Old Quarter (which we later learned is the most expensive real estate in all of Vietnam - yet the hotel price was reasonable); lots of activities in walking distance, or a short ride from there. Breakfast selection was great, with some daily variations. We went to the Spa a few times, they knew what they're doing. Slight knock down (4 vs 5 stars) on 'condition and facilities'... it was fine, however if you expect a western hotel standard you may be a bit disappointed (room was rather dark with lack of view, and pool was cold); however, as noted before, this place is in Hanoi's Old Quarter, so that needs to be taken into context. Allover excellent stay, and we would go there again.

The Acoustic Hotel & Spa was amazing. We stayed here for part of our honeymoon and the staff was wonderful. They greeted us at the front door and helped with our luggage. When we checked in they brought us drinks and fresh fruit in the lobby. We had a couples spa package that was so relaxing! The front desk staff greeted us and wished us well every time we left and returned to the property. The rooms were spacious and house keeping kept everything nicely maintained and provided complementary waters, wine, and fruit. Absolutely recommend for anyone visiting Hanoi.
