The Iberostar in Cozumel is an exceptional resort! The staff is so hospitable and extremely friendly. You feel pampered from the moment that you arrive. The grounds are beautifully manicured and lush. The rooms are spotless and impeccably cleaned and stocked daily. There are five restaurants , and they all offer different, delicious cuisine every night. From Thai, to Mexican to BBQ, so much great food! The Snack Shack, just steps away from the pools and beach, has a great balance of all day food choices- fresh melons, fruit, pastries, cheese, hamburgers, fries, hot dogs, ice cream, and so much more. Parents and children are kept happy between meals. There is an excursion coordinating office right at the resort. Go scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and so much more! The boats leave right from the pier at the resort. So convenient! The beach and snorkeling/ swimming at the resort is calm, beautiful and safe. I could go on and on! My husband and I stayed for seven days, and we will definitely be going back! Highly recommend this resort!!!

My stay here was perfect. Enrique at the front desk was very helpful getting me checked in after a long travel day and lots of delays. The resort is beautiful, lots of activities, great food options, and easy access to scuba diving. I would definitely stay again.

We stayed at Iberostar Waves Cozumel for a week and absolutely loved it. The resort is very clean, cozy, and well maintained, with a truly relaxed and laid-back atmosphere. The food was consistently good, with plenty of variety throughout our stay. What really stood out was the staff—everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. One of the best parts was the beach and pool area. There were plenty of chairs available at all times, so there was no need to rush early in the morning to reserve a spot. The water is crystal clear, perfect for snorkeling right off the beach. We saw tons of fish, and even spotted a stingray, starfish, and a barracuda close to shore. Overall, this is a wonderful place to unwind, enjoy nature, and truly relax. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful Cozumel getaway.

Staff was not very welcoming. We had high expectations as we had read this was the best hotel in conzumel. It didn’t feel that way to us. After traveling to 8 years definitely not impressed with the service or food. The property was beautiful though.

The buffet options were always wonderful from breakfast to dinner each day. Maria’s tacos are the best during lunch! All staff were impeccable and very attentive! I wish we could name everyone throughout the week…Rufino, Cezar and Jonathan with guest services. Isidro is an amazing bartender. All staff at main buffet (Cozumel). Many more behind the scenes…staff is very friendly and wonderful! We will definitely return to Cozumel -Iberostar!

Food was really good and staff were amazing. Rooms are dated, and pool areas needed to be cleaned more often. Cockroaches were seen in pool area. Never seen that before during our holidays.

Everything was great! The food was amazing and so was the snorkeling. We didn't even have to scuba dive this trip. Knocked a star off because the rooms are rather small compared to most of the resorts on the island. I'd go back again and just upgrade to a bigger room.

The hotel grounds and pool area are very nice and well maintained. The rooms are extremely small, and the furnishings quite dated and in need of replacement. There is a lot of mold in the wall-mounted bath products, the bed and pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable, especially for two average size adults on the double bed. The food and drinks left a lot to be desired... the individual restaurants were worse than the general buffet. The selections at the buffet were fine with a good variety, but probably the worst quality food Ive ever had at a resort. As many others have mentioned, the bar selection is extremely limited and the liquors are very watered down. Every cocktail is also loaded with sugar, and consistently had to ask for none or less to be added. The dock and swim area were small but nice. We enjoyed snorkeling and saw a good variety of fish. There unfortunately is a non-refundable deposit to use the "free" kayaks and catamarans. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and competent. Lastly, bring everything you need because the gift store was the most expensive I have ever been too. Dont forget your hat or sunscreen because you will pay 10x too much for them on-site. Getting kids a trinket or buying some tequila is better at the airport.

The room was dated but perfectly adequate for a beach vacation. Housekeeping kept it spotless throughout our stay. We stayed during a very busy time so the resort was quite full but never felt crowded and there was plenty of pool and beach space for everyone. The staff seemed a bit stressed but were always pleasant and helpful. Food quality and choices were top notch. We came to dive and it doesn’t get much more convenient than this. Dressel Divers has a shop and dock on premises and Palencar Reef is a short boat ride away. The reef was vibrant and healthy as ever. So the dive experience underwater is excellent. However Dressel crowds 30 divers on each boat which is simply too much. They can’t even carry enough air for everyone and need to go back to the dock to reload between dives. The resort grounds, amenities and adjacent areas are gorgeous and safe for long long walks. Overall a very positive experience at Iberostar Cozumel.
