「This is an inexpensive motel. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. Linens and towels were clean. The location is convenient but pretty sketcy.」

「Clean and comfy hotel. The staff is wonderful and breakfast is ok. However the doorknob to the bathroom fell off of our friend’s door while he was in the bathroom and was locked inside for an hour and the fans/AC units are really loud so maybe bring earplugs or noise canceling headphones. But otherwise a good stay.」

「The Cottage and Castle is absolutely charming, beautifully decorated and situated in a lovely neighborhood of colourfully painted houses and As well it is anIt’s a real gem. However as we returned after an evening out the stench in the air from a soil, composting, wastewater and recycling treatment plant was overwhelming. I there is a solution to this as Chemainus is a charming town and the Cottage and Castle was exceptional! 」

「Oh boy...I greatly dislike writing negative reviews. While Chemainus is adorable, the location is fantastic and the exterior is a dream...this aint it. Mouldy drapes, a number of amenities were broken (electric fireplace, mouldy fridge), no wifi, questionably clean bedsheets. And (I have photos as proof) a white substance residue left on the counter next to the bed. I will say that the indoor jet tub was amazing! I swear I heard a cough below us at one point and noticed a little door that looked...
