"We booked a room for a last minute overnight stay in Palm Springs for a quick Casino getaway. We finally checked in at about 12:30 a.m. and the initial appearance was deceptive. Single level u-shaped row of motel rooms. Lighting adequate for the somewhat narrow driveway which allowed for parking right in front of each room at a slanted angle. I'm not particularly comfortable with ground level rooms because of the safety issue which is why I always carry bear spray and pepper spray in my car which I then take into the room with me overnight. Able to check in quickly with the front desk and given a single key card which worked without problems. Even though the facility must have been aged, you could tell that there were good attempts to upgrade the important things. Good size single room refrigerator/ freezer as well as a microwave which one does not see often anywhere. Shower worked well as did the AC / heater. The shower was equipped with shampoo and conditioner which you simply squeeze to measure out what you need. However if there is a red seal on the bottom you must pull that off first otherwise nothing will come out. The area itself was amazingly quiet despite having a gas station on the corner close by. Continental breakfast served 7-10am in the central club room consisted of cereal, various breads and bagels for toasting, a jug of prepared batter for DIY waffles, fruits, pastries and yogurt, the only prote.Looks can be deceiving but we would definitely stay here again."
You can study the exhibits at General George S. Patton Memorial Museum, a museum with a storied past, during your travels to Indio. Discover the area's casinos, or seek out its golf courses.
