「A superb hotel right in the heart of Olhao and just a few minutes walk from all the delights on the seafront. Having been to Olhao many times over the years, we preferred this location as it was more authentic compared to the other end of town which is now more touristy. The hotel is modern, clean and well appointed. The rooftop bar is idyllic and offers great views over Olhao and the Ria Formosa - really quite spectacular. 「Roots hotel was excellent!! We loved the clean, comfortable, well maintained property with a great balcony, kitchenette, quiet, small but clean bath, best sleep in 3 weeks! Location was perfect for train station and center city, Close to boat tour meeting spots, restaurants, laundry, groceries and shops. Staff were helpful and friendly. I didn’t use the pool but it looked nice. We absolutely will stay here again next time in Faro.」

「Great hostel, good Central location. 5 minutes walk into the city centre, 2 minutes walk from the nearest bars and restaurants. Clean room, comfortable bed and good communication from the host throughout our stay. If I'm nit picking the only very slight drawback was, the bedroom curtains, weren't full blackout (I'm a very light sleeper) but this was a very small thing, and it probably won't affect most people. I would have no hesitation in staying there again. Recommended. 」

「The drawback is if it’s rainy day, you won’t have much hot water for shower. The first night when we arrived at hotel was a rainy day so we barely had a hot shower. The host was super nice and will offer free breakfast. 」

「I changed rooms to be away from pedestrian noise . Outstanding touches of old and new. Kitchen was adequate for a few at a time. Roof top was the best, tho still in the process of recovery from huge storms they had. Hot water was ok tho it was cloudy a lot . Excellent staff and good location to promedade and to ferries for day trips. 12 mins walk to Rail . Could ask folks to keep their voices down when in the kitchen as it travels easily to other rooms. Seem to be an international thing. Nice...

「The busy part and old town of Faro were only a ten minute walk. Avenue 41 was also close to good grocery shops and reataurants. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, even printing our boarding passes. The rooftop terrace was a lovely apot to unwind! Hoghly recommend.」
