"Starting with the location — the hotel is roughly a 15 minute walk from the port, which sounds fine until you realise it’s all downhill on the way there, meaning it’s all uphill on the way back. So if you enjoy returning from dinner feeling like you’re training for a mountain expedition, this is the place for you.
The room itself was average at best. The balcony however was completely overrun with bugs, so sitting outside in the evening turned into more of a wildlife experience than a relaxing holiday moment.
Now for the sleep situation. The air conditioning doesn’t go below 20 degrees and barely blows cold air anyway, so the room stays far warmer than comfortable. To make matters even better, there’s a bright green emergency/fire exit light that stares you right in the face while you’re trying to sleep just above the door that lights the room up all night like you’re sleeping in a low budget nightclub. So between the heat and the glowing green beacon staring at you all night, sleep was not exactly luxurious.
Unfortunately, we also had cockroaches in the room. One even made an appearance on the bed after coming in from the restaurant area
not quite the welcome package we were hoping for.
Speaking of the restaurant, the food was very average throughout. Breakfast was your standard continental/English buffet and dinner was equally forgettable. Service was also incredibly inconsistent. If there were Spanish guests in the restaurant, good luck getting your order taken."
