Good Amenities But Lacks Ventilation

You will find some value for this hotel. This 16 square meter room comes with a large single bed, a strong electric fan, a large glass round table with two rattan chairs, clean good quality flooring tiles, a private bathroom with lavatory that flushes well, strong water in the sink and shower. However, no window in the room and the small window in the bathroom opens into an enclosed area. So the room is like an enclosed box and the door has to be opened for once in a while for some ventilation. I stayed for three nights and could not wait for it to be over. I hope this is not representative of the other fan rooms. There should be no problem with airconditoned rooms but airconditioning makes me creeps due to its large energy consumption.

Nous avons dormi 2 nuits chez luis bay lodge. La chambre était propre ainsi que les toilettes. C'est un endroit basique mais nous avons passé nos journées à l'extérieur donc c'est ce que nous attendions de ce lodge.

It was close to town center and to the boats for tours. Aircon rooms were ok but others werent in a good condition. Building as itself old and needs refurb.We stayed in a room next to reception. So it was noisy, recepcionist and hotel crew were wacthing tv or talking loudly even middle of the nights! The price we paid was avarege and reasonable for the Coron town.

The only good thing is the service. All the staff is really friendly and helpfull. The wi fi is poor... the re was 3 cockroachs in our room... really small room for 2 persons. Ahhh and the view is in the lagoon in the ghetto. Good luck...

I had the room for three people, one queen, one twin and one on floor bed. The size of the room is smaller than what you see in the picture. The air-condition needs a time to make the room cold, and the bath room need to fix. The place is safe, but very old building. If I will come again to coron, I will have another place.

It was an amazing hotel given our budget. The hotel staff are very accommodating. One concern is only the water in cr. It has very low pressure that cause us more time taking a bath. But overall, it was amazing.

Great location; Value for money

Great location although Coron is a small city and you can almost walk to any place. 2 mins walk to the port for island hopping, diving, etc. Also 2 mins walk to the local market for cheap food, market raw food and even tailor services. Fan room has mosquito netting for the windows and therefore quite cooling by keeping the windows open. Room is spacious but very basic. The WC has no toilet seat and the flushing not working. There is a smell of chemical due to the newly painted walls. Only one power charging point. Free drinking water top-up available and that is a great bonus. Excellent WiFi inside room Value for money considering the good location. You get what you pay for.

Roughing It

This hotel is not nice by any stretch of the imagination. My first room had no AC cause I accidentally booked a “fan only” room and AC is an additional $10/day. I also had a swarm of ants come thru the wall and a scary looking spider fall out of the curtains and scurry around the room at one point. In my first room, the fan only one had a giant hole cracked in the toilet seat and the second room (when I upgraded) had no toilet seat at all. The water is on a pump system and doesn’t have warm water or consistent pressure. Getting water out of the shower head was a challenge in the AC room. Ok - so with all of that being said, I would still recommend this hotel. Its not a nice place but I’m also not a luxury traveler. I’m a backpacker and this place is located right in the middle of everything. There’s a local market (cheap food and beer) and gas station right next door. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating and the security left me with no doubt that my things were safe while I was gone all day adventuring. The price is also incredibly reasonable. I enjoyed my stay.
