Independence Courthouse Motel

"New owner has big plans for the propery and was very, very helpful when it came to accomodating us. The rooms are older, but clean. It's my third time staying here in recent years. It is a welcome respite after hiking for 10 dayus in the Sierra, and he even helped arrange us a ride to the next town. I would stay here again. On-prem avilability of a washer and dryer was quite welcome."

Wuksachi Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"This is my second stay here and I thoroughly recommend it. Beautiful location and right in the middle of the park. Very helpful staff at reception. Plenty of parking. Our room in the Silliman building was clean and quiet. There is a restaurant on site if you wish, or you can just grab a pizza from the pizza deck (which was really tasty!) It’s also a short drive to the Lodgepole Visitor Center and market. We also found it very convenient to escape back to - we happened to be here on a long weekend and the park was extremely busy and crowded. After we had been to Moro Rock, we wanted to see the Sherman Tree but there was simply no parking anywhere, so instead we were able to go back to the hotel and stay until the crowds died down and go back to the tree later in the day."
