Let's face it, this experience is what this experience is. A chance to see the Outback and have a uniquely rustic experience. That's what you get. The rooms were stuffier and warmer than I was expecting. But, I think this is part of the experience. It's a very basic experience. They did have fans going and most people kept their doors open during the day. There is a grunge factor to this town which is also just part of the experience. The hostess who checked us in was fabulous. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She was hardworking and forever cleaning. Laundry is crazy expensive. Don't plan on doing laundry here. We didn't- by the way. Also, want to add that Comfort Inn saved us. The other place we had reserved for MONTHS, had to close for an emergency and we found out literally the night before. Thank you Comfort Inn. I regret nothing.

Great accommodation - clean & quiet. Walkable go town during the day, not sure how safe it would be to walk at night. Highly recommend.

No soap. Cold tap didn't work. Harassed by aboriginal beggars when having a drink on the lawn. But otherwise a great room and lovely stay. Many thanks

Stinks of sewage! After contacting someone with out of hours number, they told us it was the sewage pump and that they would come and investigate. Waited over an hour in hall way and no one came. Attempted to ring number again several times but no one would answer. Very disappointing and smell was overwhelming! Would not stay again or recommend!

Overall enjoyed the experience and novelty of the underground rooms. Room and facilities were clean and tidy. Continental Breakfast was available on site. As were were on the "upper floor" room was a little warmer than expected but temperature was OK for sleeping. Even with external temperature around 40C

A great experience! Super friendly staff, clean room and the real Coober Pedy experience! Looked a little unusual from the outside but most of the town looks unusual from the outside! Make your own continental breakfast was great too, thanks.

First stay ok. 2nd stay over-priced room in need of work, run down, uncomfortable. I dare the Owner to sleep in room 9 for a week! $200 far too much. The bags of empty bottles on the front verandah greeting guests were still there when we returned over a month later! Most enjoyable staff. But why close reception before 7.00pm? Could be so much better.

Great Coober Pedy Experience
Staying underground in Coober Pedy has been a life-long bucket list item. The Comfort Inn did not disappoint. Friendly and informative check in process. Did not do much in the motel other than sleep in the room, so cannot comment on the cafe or breakfast. Room was clean and well presented. WiFi worked well which is important as there is no telephone reception in the rooms. Remember you are under metres of solud rock :)

Staying underground was an adventure in of itself. With a welcoming booklet with any and all information you may need to know about living and sleeping underground, the Comfort Inn prepares its guests for what’s to come as well as what there is to do about the neighbourhood. Clean and offering a lovely continental brekky to those who wished to fill up before heading out into the opal fields we (my husband and I) would both happily stay there again in the future.

Staying underground is a must in Coober-Pedy!
Loved our stay here. Underground motel which was interesting to walk around in and of itself, but staying here also gave us a modest discount on tickets at the Old Timers Mine next door which we made use of. Nice grassy area I could take my dog out to when nature called and very friendly service. Would highly recommend!
